Hello Sleevers, My physician is Dr. M Castro at Methodist Dallas and he encouraged me to try to lose some weight before surgery, but it was not required to lose a certain amount. Also, the Clear Liquids is 24 hours pre-op only. I was suprised to hear how many sleevers have to maintain a liquid diet for weeks to months before their surgery date. I originally went to Dr. Scarborough in Houston, Tx, but because I changed jobs. I had to go with the United Healthcare physicians out of Dallas. Dr. Scarborough plan required that you lose 5% of your body weight before they submitted the information for approval. Anyone else out there have a physician without all the restrictions?

This is my second attempt to get an answer. I've been to 2 weight loss tracker site, but I do not know how to post it. I am not a facebook, myspace or twitter person. This is new for me. Please help. I sent a help message to this website, but no response. My surgery is scheduled for 10/19.

I went through the nutrition course and psychologist consultation in June. I was wondering about the vitamins and supplements seen online.

VSG 10/19 in Texas. Pre surgery diet starts 9/28.

I'm scheduled for a VSG on 10/19 and I have a couple of questions. 1. How do I post my weight loss tracker from tickerfactory.com 2. Has anyone tried the Unjury products? I really want to know about the chicken soup. 3. I work in the ICU, is 2.5 weeks off enough? 4. What about vitamins? Optisource, Opurity, or prescription vitamins Thanks in advance

Hello VSG's, I have an appointment on 6/18 with New Beginnings in Dallas, Tx. I'm 5' 3" and 303 pounds. I am very nervous, but I am ready to enjoy life. I believe wth sleeve is the best surgery for me and my insurance company covers the VSG. Any advice? :thumbup1:
