  1. Well I am ten weeks in now and I have only lost ten more pounds. I cannot afford my fill that is now going to cost me 1200 since I have to have it done under fluoroscopy. I mess up a lot and I fall off the wagon, but I just keep getting back on. All this is so hard but I think to myself. I did this for me and even when I mess up my desire to be healthy keeps me going. Sometimes I feel like I am fighting a losing battle. Just don't give up on yourself.
  2. I met Dr. Chua today. He was realky nice. His staff is nice as well.
  3. Extremely disappointed. I went for my first fill today and the doctor was not able to locate my port. I went for an Xray but I haven't got any word back yet.
  4. I just want to say thanks to all of you for the great advice. I feel a lot better.
  5. I am going to get back on track today. I told myself that my love for food wouldn't get the best of me. The last two weeks have been a battle and guilt is such a horrible feeling. 6. Oh my I wish my surgery coyld have stayed a secret. Of course my Mom knee and she made it her mission to tell everyone in the family that I got the lap band. For me personally the fact that everyone knows I had the surgery is making my journey harder. Everyone thinks that losing weight is easy because I had the lap band. They don't realize how hard losing the weight is.
  7. Hello I got banded on Feb. 2nd in Mexico but I will be going to Dr. Chua for my fills. I live on the south side of Milwaukee and it would be great to have some local supporters.
  8. I am having my first fill on Friday. I hope it helps. This is horrible but my problem has been being around my family. I tried to stay away from family and friends and it was a lot easier to lose weight when I am not around others that are costantly eating. Spring is here which means cook outs and family gatherings. I do work out ocassionally I guess I should definetly be more active. I bought some kettle bells amd a jump rope but it take me three days for my body to recover after working out. I feel like I am just making excuses but it is just so hard. Thanks for the advice. It is nice to hear some words of encouragement. I can do this! It is just a lot harder than I ever imagined.
  9. I started my weight loss journey at 415lbs. The day of my surgey I was at 362lbs. Today I am only down to 354lbs 7weeks post op. I was doing so well. I was down to 348lbs two weeks ago but I have lost motivation and my old eating habbits have come back. I find myself snacking all day long. I get my first fill Friday and I hope it helps. Did anyone else lose motivation so early on? What can I do to get back on track?
  10. I have to pay $609 for my first fill. I feel cheated.
