Hi, I had my labs and turned in and signed all my paperwork on 3/23and 2 weeks later I called the office, they said I never signed any paperwork..4/17 I recalled office n they still i had not turned in my paperwork, I refaxed it to them and called the lab to get them to fax my results to drs office. They said they faxed it twice... , 5/7 I recalled the office and they said they turned in the paper work the previous Friday...well I took it a step further n called BCBS. They said paperwork was not turned in till 5/7monday.. Before the week was up I was approved... My suggestion to allll. Keep copies and records of times n dates and who ur speak to..stay on top of them cause they will Dottle...call the office n stay on top go things..

I just got approved! But now I'm scared! I'm afraid of the pain that everyone seems to have postoperative. I'm afraid of losing my hair. I'm worried if I'll be able to get all my nutrients in.... Could u Plz tell me ur exp. immed after surg n the days that followed

Hi, I'm waiting myself. I'm the lucky one who usually gets dumped on... By that I mean they Dr Yu s office dropped the ball n forgot about me. I saw the dr and had labs n March n guess what ? I just got my results n they lost my paperwork that I signed to release info from my PCP twice! OMMg. I'm getting lirey about their competency...now. I relaxed my paperwork n waiting to hear what's next..

Thank u for adding me as ur friend. My name is Rosa and I am 51y. I have been a pediatric RN for 32yr. I was banded 4-11-08. I have had nothing but an increase in health issues since I was banded. My BP has been out of control, n/v, reflux causing bronchities, and snoring so bad. I couldn't eat eggs, tuna, or salad. Felt like everything got stuck in my throat. Sometimes even Water. I was miserable. I had my fill removed and filled multiple times till I got better but nothing helped. I lost 40# but regained it all. I weigh 248, 5'6. OMG... My body might be getting old but my mind is still 23, ahhhhaa I had an EGD and an UGI last month and my dr told me I had to have the band removed. My daughter recommend dr Yu. I saw him on the 22nd of march and now am waiting to see what's next. I ll keep u posted. I hope u do the same. How is ur daughter doing since she was sleeved? What was her heaviest weight? The reason I'm asking is my dgter Is hoping to get sleeved herself, she's 5'11 and about 300. She s so beautiful but overweight. I can see the disappointment. In her eyes when we go shopping. Did u look up the policy in bcbs? It has criteria you have to meet before it is covered.

Buy blouses to show off my tummy n not tryn to hide it 4. Wearing heels...OMG to feel sexy in heels n not like an old lady with swollen ankles 5. Feeling energized 6. Getting off most of my meds and feeling healthy 7. Wearing a sexy bathing suit

Good for you! Do it for yourself.....one step at a time.. I haven't told anyone, not even my closest friend. She had the bypass and watches everything I eat..critics everything I eat..my weight. I've been told lots of times, to exercise, watch what I eat n lose weight... But it doesn't work... So, I know exactly what ur talkn about.... I'm excited for u !!!

Ive been trying to do my research on the lap band to gastric sleeve operation and am really getting scared. I have read about the nausea, vomiting, pain, leakage, stents, hair loss (omg the hair loss), inability to eat enough Protein. But the good part to look forward to at the end of the rainbow to, is the weight loss, hair growth after almost a year, pain is gone, starting to eat and keeping it down..... I hope when my time comes I have an easy transition. Any advise?
