  1. I have 8 tattoos(all were done before surgery) and now only 1(on my chest above my upper left breast) is changing. I've developed a tremendous amount of extra skin in my breast area(sorry TMI) in the last 3 months and it isn't looking so great. I'm actually in the process of having it removed! Best advice wait until your at or near goal so it will be absolutely beautiful!
  2. So I posted a few days ago about how well I feel like I have been doing but I wanted to put up some pictures and get some opinions. I feel like something is wrong with my eyes. I can definately tell with my scale and the way I feel how much weight I have lost but when I look at pictures I dont feel like I see a big difference. Maybe I just chose the wrong pictures to compare or maybe mI just crazy!!lol!! Starting weight 257 Current weight as of today 196. If you cant see them please let me know!
  3. Thank you! In Texas- Dr. Hougen...it was worth every penny!!!!
  4. I originally posted this in another thread but I thought I would post here as well!!! Im 23 and 5'3"....So I recently went shopping and found that I am finally in regular size clothes!!! WoooHooo!!! My sleeve date was May 1st. Starting weight 257-18w & 2x tops---today 199- ..........14 & 16 REGULAR JEANS & L tops!!!! Notice I also hit Onderland!!!!! I am currently in a stall and have been for at least a week or so! I try not to weigh my self everyday... for the last 2 days I've worn dresses! I never thought I would but they look amazing! As you can tell I'm very proud of my self. It wasn't but maybe 6 weeks ago I was on here crying thinking I wasn't going to drop anymore weight...I have stalled ALOT!!! But hey slow and steady is fine with me. I have noticed I'm starting to have extra skin in my breast area...SRY TMI!!!!! I will have plastics sometime in the near future after I hit my goal. I'm shooting for 160-----140 would be amazing----who knows... Im going to let my body decide. My husband loved the old me, but is wild about the new me.... I do sometimes "miss" food....I hate the uncomfortable feeling when I take that 1 last bite (I still haven't learned)! I haven't conquered "head hunger" My enemy....chips (Pringles & Cheeto-Puffs)...in the last 3 months I have quit my job, went back to school(full-time), strengthened my relationship with my hubby and son! I'm trying to finish my basics so I can get into the Petrolleum Engineering program. Before the sleeve I was to tired to do anything... I worked full time 50+ hours...I wasn't in control of my life...I am now...What have I learned... No matter the size or shape I am...pretty or not...I love me for me and want to be healthy for me and my family!!! I do not regret my sleeve at all. At times when I ate to much and was in pain I would probably tell you different but it has been absolutely life changing!!!!! I'm sorry for all the extra info I have crammed in here I just felt like I had so much to share with the world and you guys, I knew, would be happy for me and listen!!! Future sleevers-don't second guess your self...And when you hit that stall get on here and talk to someone...there is so many motivational stories on here that will help you get through!!!
  5. I've noticed when I am not on top of getting my water in and go several days with drinking maybe 15 oz a day I will get to where I am extremely nauseous and then realize I've been off track. Not sure if this is your case but that is what made me sick. If so start slow and take small sips all day long...Now I make sure I'm always on top of getting in my water!!! Hope this help.
  6. Regrets---none today------it has changed my life for the better---

  8. I stalled at 3 weeks out for 13 days and finally today I broke it. 3 lbs down! It will get better.
  9. Just wanted to let everyone know! I finally broke my stall today. Down 3 more lbs! I'm super happy!
  10. Actually we both have about the same amount to lose. And we have both done good so far. I know I may be depressed about the stall but I do know 32 lbs is 32 lbs And if it wasn't for my sleeve I would have struggled and started to put weight back on already. I just heat this stall. Ugh!!!
  11. I may need to try some relaxing technics. Thanks D1 I would definately like someone to talk to. Neeve-From the beginning I wanted to lose 100 to 120 lbs. I started at 257 and im now at 225.
  12. Hi! I decided to quit. I'm 23 and I wanted to go back to school full time and my job was so time consuming that I couldn't even attempt to take a class. I'm just stressed about my weightloss. Like I said in my other post I feel like I'm done losing weight. I know it's going to kick in again, everyone keeps telling me that. I just don't feel like it is.
  13. I started walking about 4 days ago. for about 15 mins a day. I'm only able to get about 30 oz of water in on a good day. I know I'll get through this I just feel so down right now. And the sleeping thing I'm not sure why I'm having trouble. Before I had surgery I was in bed by 8 or 9 because I has getting up for work at 3 or 4 am. I'm not working anymore so that could have something to do with it. I'm also taking some pain meds occasionally due to some pain in my belly button still and I think that can contribute to my lack of sleep.
  14. I eat normal. I was cleared for everything except raw veggies and fruits. I usually only eat once or twice a day. I sleep a lot during the day because I have been having trouble sleeping at night. I almost always only eat my protein and nothing else during my dinner meal. I usually can't fit in anything else. If I do its 1 bite. I eat chicken and fish a lot. I don't know. I just feel like I'm never going to lose anymore. I paid cash for my surgery... I don't like feeling like I made a bad choice. Don't get me wrong I lost 15 lbs in my first 2 weeks and 17 during my 2 week pre op, so 32 lbs in the last month and a half and I know that is awesome. But since I've been in this stall it makes me feel like my body is done. I do have my fitness pal I just go it yesterday a couple of days ago but I haven't used it yet. I'm just discouraged...
  15. I was told the only over the counter thing I could take for pain ever again was Tylenol!
  16. I'm so down. Ive been in a stall for going on 2 weeks now. I gain 2 lbs then I loose them then I gain them back again. I'm so frustrated!!!!
  17. The worst part was the 1 hour in recovery right after surgery. The gas was in my chest and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I was on oxygen to help for about 4 hours or so until the gas went away completely. The walking is what helped me. Pain meds don't really help with the gas. Other than that everything else was mild pain. I did have to use the pump more that first night because of pain from my belly button but it got better pretty quick. Just prepare your self. It will be okay. Everyone is different and tolerates pain differently. Good luck. May you have an easy surgery and recovery!
