  1. Too much sodium? If you are keeping to your plan' date=' don't worry. It's probably Water weight and will leave soon. Don't let 2 lbs bother you as you will probably lose, then either gain or stay the same for a few days, then lose, etc, etc, etc. Most people's weight loss looks like stair steps when it's graphed, but some look like a sawtooth. As long as the overall trend is down you're okay.[/quote']

I hope so the scale hasn't moved downwards since April 2nd

  2. Now' date=' you knew before posting this what the answer to your problem is, right?

    At least you've confessed your sins. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Now is a chance to do a few things. One, revamp your eating habits and don't let depression be your scapegoat for sabotaging your success. You had surgery to change, remember? That includes how we react to stress. Which leads to the second opportunity here: examining your emotional eating. Admitting we indulge in habits that made us overweight in the first place is sometimes enough to help us overcome them. If it's not, there's always support on this board or in a group if you need that.

Talking to other people that are in a similar boat might help but everyone has different comfort levels. Being laid off is exceptionally stressful and suffering from insomnia isn't helping you cope, either. My hope is that someone here will chime in that can help you more directly.

All I can offer is sympathy for the situation you're in and an admonishing finger wave for indulging in old habits. It's understandable and food is our crutch when we're stressed, anxious, or just plain bored. I'm sure you're all of these things right now.

Get out and take a walk at night or hop on the treadmill. Or just adjust what you're snacking on to something better for you. Hopefully you'll find new work soon and this situation will be temporary. However, it can be a learning experience. Facing some of the head issues now can only help your long term success.

Sending my hopes that your stressful situation lets up soon and better things come your way quickly.

In the meantime: STOP IT! Get back on track or you'll be kicking your own butt once things are back to normal.

Thanks a lot your strong and kind words help a bunch....just left the gym after an hour of working off my bad habits

  3. My god I was laid off work on 4/2 and I've been horribly depressed and eating the world....I haven't put on weight but I haven't lost any since then !!! And I haven't been sleeping so my sneak eating is at night what the f@*k !!!

  4. I am 15 weeks out and had a follow-up today with my awesome doctor. I told him I thought i was losing too slowly. He said I wasn't. I told him i was doing my treadmill 30 min. a day and the days I didn't do that. I walked. He said to try this to get the body fat to melt off before I see him again:

Get on the treadmill at 2 mph. for 1 minute. Then increase to 3 mph. for 5 min. Then increase to 4 mph. for 1 min. Then repeat 6 more times for a total of 35 min. He said this would work with no incline' date=' but if you want to try an incline, it will work even better. He said when he sees me in a month, I should be down at least 10 or more lbs. if I do this at least 5 days a week!

Maybe this will help break a stall for some of you! Can't hurt to try![/quote']

There's a setting on the treadmill called weightloss or interval that does the samething your doctor is advising for you

  5. Thanks "KingOx"!! I think I may give it a try and ease into it when i start by taking a little less than the recommended dose and see how I feel.

"Vsg021412"...... I don't see any reason why women can't take it. It's mostly to help open up/relax those blood vessels and give you energy for a great workout. Not sure' date=' but it might even have some caffeine in it. There's no growth hormone or testosterone or illegal substances like that in it. My guess is that women that take it right before a workout and are hopefully able to give that workout more effort. Women just don't have the same hormones that guys have, so I wouldn't worry about getting "bulked up" if I were a woman. "KingOx".....would you agree?[/quote']

Yea it's not used for bulking up...it does have caffeine into its just a Preworkout drink

  6. "King"' date=' I've heard of this and thought about getting it for my pre-workout supplement. I've heard that it makes your skin feel like it has a warm or burning sensation. Do you get that from Jack3D? I'm not sure it's bad if it does and I don't know what causes it for the people who do get it. Could just be a Niacin flush. If that's all that it is, I may try it myself. Would really like some more feedback as far as any possible side effects that you've noticed. I may just take the plunge. Thanks![/quote']

I get a warm itchy feeling but only for a little bit. It gives you a massive pump I love ot

  7. Looks like some good stuff.

Just make sure you are taking the correct amount for your purposes. According to the nutritional information' date=' 3 scoops is 79 grams which contains 60 grams of Protein. Unless you are doing some serious weight lifting, your body cannot process that amount like you may be wanting. You cannot make a shake with three scoops and believe you have satisfied your WLS Protein requirements for the day.

There are a lot of articles out in the Googleverse that talk about the max amount of protein your body can actually absorb in a single sitting. It varies based on your activity level, but you will see 30 grams as an average. Depending on your story, your requirements may be higher or lower than 30, but as I mentioned, to be able to absorb 60, you have to be a serious lifter requiring serious muscle repair.[/quote']

I only use a scoop sometime scoop and a half...I was just recommending for the taste and quality. I know everyone has there own needs. But it's a good product.

  8. Peacequeen' date=' dont stress it! You will lose weight! Just make sure you are getting your Protein, taking your Vitamins and drinking all your Water. Get in some cardio if you can. Not only will it get your heart rate up, but probably make you feel better. And the bright side, the slower you lose the less loose skin you have. This is a marathon, not a sprint. I know those words dont mean much when you are not losing but it will happen. Maybe you need to reevaluate your eating plan? Do you have a smart phone? Myfitnesspal app. has been a huge help to me. Keeps my Protein and carbs in check. Good luck my fellow December Diva![/quote']

Myfitnesspal has been a one of the best tools I have...it helps you stay on track with your cardio and food intake

  9. I've been more than positive over the past few weeks. I'm trying to stay that way but after reading for the 3rd time how "you'll just melt away"..it's just not happening for me. This is the hardest I've ever had to work at losing weight. I don't have regrets but I'm not jumping for joy either. I've always been a hard worker and I don't expect things to come easy but I don't understand why I'm not melting away. I lost 5 pounds last week just to gain 3 back this week...I'm just feeling really discouraged this morning' date=',maybe it's the rain.[/quote']

Try going to the gym or walking I found it keeps my mind of the weight loss and make me realize that everyday is a step closer to being healthy
