  1. Yea me too! I'm down 62 lbs in 4 months and I recently made a 1200 mile trip to see family and no one said a word!! That was frustrating especially since I didn't tell them about my surgery. I do have a lot to lose though. I started at 298!! I hope when I see them again in a month someone will notice.
  2. Ok so far I have not complained about hardly anything but this week has been so rough. It almost seems like I don't know my body at all anymore. I am almost 4 months post-op and so far I've lost 41 pounds. (Total of 62 since January) The weight loss has slowed down and I'm not doing much differently so I can't figure out how to boost it. My TOM is so irregular and has never been before. I've never had a constipation issue EVER and now it seems to happen pretty frequently. I track everything on MFP and stay under 1000, 60-80g protein and I work out 4-5 times a week. Any insight anyone can offer me would be great. IDK if its my TOM effecting me or what but I'm feeling kinda "blue"

  5. I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. You sound very dedicated to doing the right things according to your surgeon and recovery process. Only you know how you are feeling and what you are comfortable with. Everyone is different. That being said I hope that you feel better soon and please keep us updated I wish I had better advise for you but I have never had that sensation. Good luck to you and welcome to the losers bench!!
  6. It is terrible that children can be so cruel but they had to have learned it at home unfortunately. Just let it go in one ear and out the other. Your children are amazing for standing up to the fact about fried foods. Your surgery will be here before you know it !! Hang in there!!
  7. NSV. Is short for non scale victory. Something not related to the number on the scale. Like one of my first was my son telling me he could fit his arms around me further lol
  8. If u want more vsg peep add me. I'm jfull0828 On MFP
  9. Congrats and welcome to the losers bench!!! First and foremost concentrate on your clear liquids. Sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk!! Every doc is different but mine didn't have me working on protein for a couple weeks. Your stomach has to heal and you have to stay hydrated. The rest will come!!
  10. Burning fat=good, unpredictable period=yuk!! I guess ill fake the bad with the good lol
  11. Ok I've always been clockwork on my periods. The first one after surgery was rough with lethargy and cramps but came right on time. This time at 8weeks out it started 7days too early and as heavy as normal. Anyone have any explanations?
  12. My nut says no gum, ever, introduces air into your sleeve. Also soda and straws are a no no for the same reason so I have not had any of them..
  13. When were u sleeved?
  14. So amazing. Our kids are the one's that can make us feel the greatest (and sometimes worst lol) we think they don't notice things but they do and they are the.best at giving us NSVs and not even knowing it!! Congrats!!
  15. Lissa .. you are an inspiration. I hope I am as successful at 8 months!!
  16. Good job Lissa, happy to hear the stall is over!! BTW what were your starting numbers if u don't mind me asking and when were you sleeved?
  17. Yes they do seem to change. Not only do foods I used to love sound and smell nasty now but I crave foods I have never liked. Recently its been sushi, I HATED it before now I love it!! Unexplainable lol
  18. What about tuna salad, egg salad, chicken salad either made with plain Greek yogurt (to boost protein) or light mayo?
  19. Well you did it and it sounds like you are progressing great. Welcome to the losers bench, it gets better every day!!
  20. The best thing I made was ricotta bake ... the recipe is on the world according to egg face website. So yummy!!
  21. Well I think its different for everyone but for me personally it was around day 8 that I had that.epiphany lol. My surgeon leaves a drain in till day 8 and when I went in to the office to have it removed I felt really good. Just follow all the instructions and it will all fall into place. Best wishes!!
