  1. I had surgery about 5 weeks ago, friends have told me that I've become distant, husband tells me I'm very moody. I would like to know if anyone else is on the same boat as me.There's a lot going on right now for me . But for several people to tell me that I've been acting differently obviously means something. I think that food was my blanket for a long time, my everyday satisfaction and now it's been taken away. I just haven't felt very sociable lately. If anyone out there went through this or has kind words of advice , I'd appreciate it.

  2. Hi! It seems to defy all logic when we consume 400 calories and do not lose weight. It's crazy. At six weeks I have lost a total of 23 pounds since surgery. I wish it was a whole helluva lot more' date=' but it's 23 pounds. Couple that with preop weight loss and I'm doin okay I guess.[/quote']

It's very frustrating, I was told that at 6 weeks I could start exercising , hopefully that helps with a quicker weightless, even if it's only 1-2 lbs a week! It's still something and would feel better then a stall!

  3. So glad I decided to log on and read everyones weight loss. I had my surgery 3/28, first two weeks I dropped 19 pounds. Since then I've only lost two more pounds. It becomes very frustrating because I know that my food intake is obviously a lot less and I'm drinking a whole lot of Water. I just don't understand why the weight isn't coming off!!! I guess I should be happy with the 21 pounds, but wish it was more. I decided to not weigh myself everyday and limit it to once a week. I'd be happy if next month I can say I lost the same amount but my high hopes can't be expected, all of this is very trying at times

  4. New to the forum, a lot of helpful points that have been addressed and discussed on here. My weight loss journey started in December. I went to see Dr. balsalma in nj and since then have been to many doctor offices, gotten my Arm pricked for lots of blood samples, learned that I've got a fatty liver, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. but now three months later I've got a surgery date set for march 28th and I'm beyond excited. I am a 29 year old married mother of three , and have put myself off for quite some time now, and ready to get the old me back. With that said, my surgeon has not required any type of pre op diet. Basically the week before I was told to eat light and the day before liquids only. I'm curious as to why some have to diet before surgery and others don't.
