  1. I have to wait til october too I've been on this journey since feb. I could probably have it the end of august8 but I have to wait because my husband deploys soon and I live so far from family I don't have anyone to care for my 2 year old til oct. even though we have yo wait a little bit it will be ok. It will help get u mentally ready who knows, we may have it around the same time.
  2. I'm a little nervous but still excited to get this ball rolling what do u discuss in your first visit?
  3. Ho to ur pcm and ask them for a referral. And then they give you a call for the initial visit. What surgeon did u have at tripler?
  4. Well I went to the initial visit. They said on average it takes anywhere from 4-6 months depending on how proactive you are in getting everything done.
  5. I wanted to see if anyone has had the vsg done at tripler hospital. And if you have, who was your surgeon?
  6. My husband is stationed in HI and I just got a referral from my pcm on friday. He told me that it will take a week or two to hear from my surgeon fir my first visit. I know the process is a little bit different since I don't have to go through insurance because im getting it done on tripler army hospital. Has anyone gone through the military to get it done and if so what was the timeline like?
