  1. I do this still occasionally, but I bought some tiny bowls & cocktail plates & it's helping! Still occasionally pile the tiny bowl up then think wth al I thinking?? Lol!
  2. Well my situation is probably a bit different because my husband is a chubby chaser! He loves a big ass & when we met I was already heavy....probably exactly where I am right this minute. He is extremely supportive & says he loves me whether I weigh 500 lbs or 100 lbs so only time will tell. But last night he said I can't believe o get you for my whole life, so I'm not terribly worried! We have an amazing relationship. One of my friends told me last week that she dreams of having a marriage like ours That's so nice to hear! For those of you who are struggling, I am sincerely saddened to hear that your success & happiness comes with a price. JoieBean - that sucks Hopeful that it turns around!! (((Hugs)))
  3. ((Hugs)) The first month was horrible for me. I threw up every day, the shakes were disgusting, I was hungry & sore & miserable. I cried, I knew I'd made the biggest mistake of my life & I was mourning the loss of my friend - food. Fast forward 9 weeks post op today, down 47 lbs, adjusting fine to eating for my sleeve, pretty much over food as a pleasure & thrilled with my decision!!!! Hang in there....it seems impossible now, but it WILL get better! Try muscle milk light - vanilla latte is delish & the rtd is a thinner consistency than most shakes - try that or premier Protein rtd. You can do this!!
  4. I used half & half at your stage & still do most days. That other stuff has sooo many chemicals in it & 2 tbsp of the real stuff is low in cals & sugar & carb free. I wouldn't drink a glass of it lol but a splash in your coffee won't hurt
  5. I'm.excited to have new friends - yay! But can anyone tell me how to share/view.friends food diaries?
  6. My nut is all for bananas!! She says we aren't likely getting much potassium & that they are a great way to improve protein drink taste. I use some banana, some frozen berries & some sf banana creme pudding mix w/ my vanilla protein shakes....it's the only way it tastes ok IMO. *shrug* The diet recommendations are all soooo different......weird!
  7. Sf pudding was on my full liquid. I was eating it in the hospital per nut's orders. But ice cream is def out lol!! I'm 2os out & sugar makes me soooo sick!!!
  8. Sheesh!! They had me eating pudding & yogurt in the hospital!! That's crazy long to me.
  9. I'm 2 mos out & still get the gurggles if I drink too fast. I sound like a sink draining the last bit of water. Eww!! Welcome to the losers bench!!!!!
  10. A chicken Ceasar Salas anywhere works, without the croutons. Paradise bakery has a really good one & the chicken is cut really thin so its easier to cut into small pieces. I get a small with dreasing on the side & its food for at least 2 meals.
  11. Gorgeous!! Keep posting pics throughout your journey! Great inspiration
  12. I drink an iced skinny sugar free vanilla latte daily! Looooove it!
  13. Thanks all! I have no clue how to see what other people add to their food diaries, but I'm going to figure it out
  14. I need some new ideas for food - I am such a creature of habit...I'll just eat the same thing day in, day out. Instead of constantly soliciting on here for ideas I thought maybe I'd get some MFP friends I could spy on Anyone, anyone? If you're interested, I'm Kayte819 on there as well. Thanks!!
  15. Me too!! I did have a catheter, but no drain, swallows, leak tests, etc. Not sure why some do & some don't?? Btw, Emlefe - Love your new pic!! So pretty
  16. I was in the hospital for 4 nights & 5 days. I was supposed to have gall bladder removal, hiatal hernia repair & vsg done at once, begnning w/ gall bladder. But during that surgery my surgeon got sick (?!?) so he closed me up after that & I had surgery again the next morning for hernia & vsg. Weird. I would have been released a day earlier but I couldn't pass gas....so embarrassing! They kept coming in "did you fart yet??!?". Sheesh!
  17. Lol @ spatter!! No my info is just wrong!! Updating now Surgery on 1/28 surgery weight 316, today 269!!
  18. First & foremost, 2 mos out today & happy with my sleeve! I was miserable for the first 5 weeks but it has passed! Yay! I'm down 47 lbs post-op & excited for the rest of my journey!! Anyone else around 2 mos out?
  19. Have you tried G2? No cals or sugar!
  20. I feel compelled to add that I struggle with getting all my protein in still & am unable & unwilling to give up my coffee!! Most days.I.drink one shake & eat one protein bar but today I just haven't been hungry at all so I've forced everything I can in....I'm a puker unfortunately so I can't push too much or I am sick & miserable! I do drink water all day. I cannot stomach eggs & peanut butter sticks in my throat & I throw up which really sucks!!! I eat a ton of fish & seafood. Little to no chicken, beef, etc because I can't seem to get it down. I looooove seared ahi & eat it almost every other day, if not more often. It's my favorite! Smokes salmon, cream cheese & capers on whole wheat flat bread is my go-to lunch. Yum! I also eat Greek yogurt w/ berries a lot. Ok, done!!
  21. Hi! I'm officially 2 months tomorrow. I am admittedly a terrible eater as far as eating every 3 hrs but I'm trying!! Here's what today looked like: A.M. med sized iced 1/2 coffee 1/2 milk w/ sf hazelnut (my nut & surgeon ok'd caffeine...phew!!) Snack 1/2 of a muscle milk light lunch 1-2 oz of squid cheviche Snack 10 almonds dinner 2 oz of baked salmon & 2 small bites of cooked cabbage Still to come....1/2 of a power crunch Protein bar. I haven't started regularly excercising yet. I'm 36 & I'm down 47 lbs.
  22. Thank God you had your surgery!!! Phew! Lol @ the plate!! I use a baby fork.that has Mickey Mouse on it because it's the perfect tiny size but my kids think I've lost my mind (3yo twins & a 4yo). I love it! Again, really such a blessing to have had it done when you did! Yay you!!
  23. I'm just like joiebean - I eat mostly fish. I went to my Asian market yesterday & bought salmon, shrimp, mussels, sashimi grade yellow fin & ahi. If I'm not in the mood to do sashimi I just sear the outside real quick. I hope I don't get mercury poisoning haha. I really don't like eating very much anymore either. I get nauseous from almost everything! Last night I made a delish dinner of salmon poached in coconut red curry broth with mushrooms & green beans. My family ate it over rice, but I ate about 2 oz of fish with 2 green beans & 2 pieces of mushroom. I felt fine after. About 2-3 hours later I.ate another 1-2 oz & immediately went to bed naseaus. I don't get it!!!! I guess it's all trial & error. I'm 8 weeks out & still working on eating better....more frequently to be specific. Pre surgery I would go all day without eating & then carb load at night. I'm still really struggling to eat during the day. Everyday is a new adventure
  24. I'm a SAHM with 4 kids & more days than I'd care to admit I wear drawstring yoga pants. Despite my loss, my jeans do not fit any looser, but today I put on some yoga pants & tossed my phone in the pocket, as I do everyday but they keep sliding down....the "weight" of my phone is pulling my pants down! I've had to pull them up 100 times today! Idk why but this thrills me My surgery day weight was 316. Today I weigh 269. The significance of this number is I haven't weighed under 270 since before I got pregnant with my 4.5yo son so that means it has been 5 years since I've weighed this little I love my sleeve! So exciting!
