MAGNOLIA-- actually i am supposed to be eating my soft foods or blended... but i ahve been eating real food since day 3 post op... i just make sure i can chew chew chew... i felt great until this week... i had lots of extra energy, but this week i feel drained and sometimes nausiated... i got my first fill on tuesday of 1cc i received my fill 4 weeks early because the dr said i was progressing great... fine by me. i think i am just over stressed lately... i work fulltime, coach soccer, attend classes and clinicals in the evenings and spare time... not to mention married an d4 children that have to be taken from one event to another and to school etc..... stress i think just worn out... have you felt any dpression? i have... i know that sometimes anesthesia can cause depression mostly in women... maybe that is all it is... hopefully it will pass soon.. i am really emotional and let things bother me that normally would just roll off my back. especially at work.. several lco-workers realized this too. hope you are doing great~~~

Hello Missouri!
I still do not feel restriction... he put in 1cc... should i feel it now? he had no trouble finding my port. During my first c section my nerve endings were damaged... i have little to no feeling in my lower abdomen... so i felt very little when he gave my fill.. i felt a small sting... then just him pushing, but no hurting pain.

First 1cc fill
I saw my surgeon today for my 2 week post op appointment. He said I had healed very well an dsince I have had no complains like pain or gas or anything else, he offreed me my first fill. I received a 1cc fill today. Not originally supposed to receive fill until my 6 week post op appt. Now I will see if that makes a difference. I really do not feel a restriction, maybe I am just cautiously eating and drinking. Maybe I have not reached that point yet!

I went to my 2 week nutritionist appt today... actually on been 10 days but she wa going to be gone all next week. to my dismay, I had lost more weight. I quit weighing because it had started going back up the last few days. I was getting so totally depressed. I have been eating real food since like day 3 post op... but she told me today to start moving into the real food phase. oh well already there and no problems. Have figured out my limit finally, if I eat too much or drink too fast, I get the hiccups.... better than throwing up or having pain. I hiccup an dI quit.... I see my Dr. on next tuesday.

demmemoon DON'T WORRY THEY WILL NOT SEE YOU AS A FELLOW CO-WORKER WHEN YOU ARE IN THERE. THEY HAVE A JOB TO DO AND WILL BE PROFESSIONAL ABOUT IT... AND "HIPPA" IS ON YOUR SIDE.... THEY CAN SAY NOTHING OF WHAT GOES ON WITH YOU AS LONG AS YOU ARE THE PATIENT. BUT STILL, DON'T WORRY. IT WILL BE FINE. BY THE WAY, CONGRATS ON THE NEW JOB AND SURGERY BOTH!! VERSED IS NOT A TRUTH SERUM SO I DON'T THINK YOU WILL SAY ANYTHING THAT YOU WOULD NOT NORMALLY SAY. ALTHOUGH I SWEAR I AM BUYING STOCK IN THAT STUFF......IT IS WONDERFUL!

demmemoon I TOO HAD TO FREAK OUT OVER A WEEKEND WAITING FOR 6 AM ON MONDAY. MY SURGERY WAS THIS MONDAY. I FREAKED ABOUT DYING AND SOMETHING GOING WRONG. MY PRE OP HAD ME ON LIQUIDS FOR 10 DAYS PRIOR... I CHEATED A LITTLE BUT REALLY TRIED TO STAY GOOD THE DAYS PRIOR AND I FIGURED BECAUSE I CHEATED, SOMETHING WOULD GO WRONG. WELL I SURVIVED AND I LOVE IT. I HAVE SO MUCH ENERGY AND I HAVE HAD NO PAINS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. AS FOR THE OPERATING ROOM, IN MINE ...HAD TO STRIP DOWN TO EVERYTHING BUT A HOSPITAL GOWN. NO SOCKS NO UNDERWEAR. BUT AFTERWARD WOKE IN RECOVERY THEN PLACED IN A PRIVATE ROOM FOR OBSERVATION UNTIL READY TO GO HOME WITHIN A FEW HOURS. ONCE IN THERE I PUT ON MY MAKE UP AND MY CLOTHES. I HAD TO GET REAL AGAIN AND GET OUT OF HOSPITAL GARB... AFTERWARD MY DIET IS 48 HOURS LIQUID THEN MOVE ON TO MUSHY/SHAKE CONSISTENCY... I KIND OF SKIPPED PHASE TWO... I WENT ON INTO EATING REGULAR FOODS JUST CHEW CHEW CHEW CHEW CHEW....MAKE MUSH. I AM NOT STICKING MY NORMAL FOOD IN A BLENDER THEN DRINKING IT.UUUGHH!! I WILL CHEW IT TO DEATH. I FEEL SO MUCH ENERGY. DON'T WORRY, YOU WILL BE JUST FINE...... AND DON'T WORRY.... ABOUT THE HOT DR. IF YOU ARE GIVEN VERSED DURING SURGERY, YOU ARE LIKELY TO TELL HIM EVERYTHING. BEST OF LUCK AND KEEP US INFORMED.

March 2007 Bandsters
I felt the very same and I was scared to death of not awakening after surgery or that something terrible would go wrong. But I was banded on Monday, March 12th. I believe honestly that this one of the most singlehanded best decisions I have ever made in my entire life. And the fact that I am doing this for me not my husband or anyone else I think also makes this so different. I feel great. I have had this over abundance of energy since surgery and have had such high esteem. Like I changed overnight, or maybe I sense the coming changes. Not sure what it is, but it feels great! I even went walking the very day after surgery. Walked only 4 blocks but it was fun. Yesterday, after work a co-worker and I walked 4 1/2 miles... that was a breeze too. Good luck and stick to what you feel is best for you.

Banded!!!
Well March 12th was the big day. I was banded by Dr. James Pitt in columcia, Missouri. I beleive this experience so far has turned out to be one of my best decisions I have ever made. I was really scared of having surgery. Always afraid of not waking up or something going wrong. But on the lighter side. All went well. I had surgery and was home before 2 pm. I was out walking by 7 pm. Up the next morning at 5am unable to sleep. I was wired full of energy. went to get hair cut and colored, then did some errands, went my work to check on them, spent the rest of the day buring up energy. the next day I returned to work and attended my night class (4 hrs). I have all this extra energy since surgery. I have had no pain to speak of have not used any pain medications no gas pains either. Yesterday after work went walking with a co-worker we walked 4 1/2 miles. Fun fun!!!! I really cannot explain the energy rush I have now. I have started eating real food agian too. I think I bypassed my mushy stage. But I chew chew chew chew and take my time eating. I have not eaten much in quanity. I do make sure my choices have been high in protein. Amazing. I hope this only gets better. I made promise to myself last July tht by July 01 this year I would have a substancial loss of weight. Just for me!!! I think that is the difference this time around. I ma doing this for me!! Not for my husband or anyone else, just me!!!!

March '07 Bandsters Union
Hello all. I have been posting on the other March bandsters but is sooooo long. I was banded on March 12th. I feel really good, no pains, no gas pain either, I really seem to have a lot more energy. Even went walking the day I came home from outpatient surgery. Walked 4 1/2 miles yesterday after work. really have energy and I feel different inside. My self esteem has already gone way up and I feel that I am different even though I have only lost just over 5 pounds since Monday. I had my hair cut and colored day after surgery and returned to work. I also attend classes at night. full schedule and have not stopped to rest yet. I really hope that I can succeed on this plan. I was on liquids "supposedly" for 48 hours after surgery. I think I adhered to that. then I began regular food, I just bypassed my mushy stage. I mush it I guess, when I over chew. Have been told to chew chew chew!!! I was craving a hamburger the other day, I ordered a plain small hamburger from mcdonalds and had trouble even eating all of it I think I ate half, I was full. I could add everything up I have eaten this week and it still would not be what I would have normally eaten in one day, and I did not have a problem with overeating, just lazy I think!! Any one else on here from Missouri????
