  1. Does the ninja really work well? - we look at it every time we go into the store. lol But we didn't know anyone who had one. I want to get some cute tasting dishes too. I didn't even think about checking pier 1. And I was thinking about getting the kids set of spoons and forks. I heard that having smaller utensils makes it easier to get used to taking smaller bites.
  2. Was just wondering if you had heartburn before surgery - do u think it is worse after? I've had the worst heartburn and acid reflux (3 weeks away from surgery today) and hoping after surgery with the restricted eating occurrences will decrease? What has been your experience?
  3. You are the same height as me - I should b around 270 the day of surgery - hope my results are as good as yours. you look great!!! Can't quote using the phone but for your comment on still feeling big - I always feel bigger than most of my friends (even the ones "fluffier" than me) because I'm always the tallest. I'm sure as you continue to lose weight your mind will catch up and acknowledge that the girl staring back at her from the mirror is you!
  4. No one's said Hi yet! So I'll be the first to say hello. I am also in April but not til the 13th. Marlene
  5. I was hoping my feet would shrink too. I wore an 11 by the end of pregnancy and after 50 more lbs am wearing a 12. Really hard to find cute shoes. Occasionally can find an 11 to fit but not too often. I would like to have smaller feet for sure but I guess we will see as I go back down after I'm post op.
  6. Thank you! i ordered these today too. Can't wait for them to come in!!!
  7. I am 34 now and getting sleeved 4/13. I wish I could have had this done at 21
  8. I am so ordering these today. And it looks like they are lactose free, so hopefully they will be easy on the tummy. I see rave reviews about the chicken soup protien...I hope it's good! Also if you all haven't seen this one deal (also lactose free) I just ordered these too. Syntax nectar 13 samples for $13.00 http://www.si03.com/medical/med_index.htm 866-333-7403 x803 M-F 8-5 Central. Now I'm just looking for a good deal on chewable/disolvable Vitamins. Has anyone found a good link to order vitamins where the shipping is not outrageous?
  9. Can I jump in this group too? Getting sleeved April 13th and live in las Vegas, nv
  10. My bmi Has to be 40 the day of surgery so right now I have no restrictions I was at 39.6 at the last weigh in / 3 mos requires by ins - I meet with the doctor 4/11 for my pre op instructions and go into surgery on 4/13
  11. I have bought few things to wear in 1x and 2x as I've seen really cute stuff on sale (currently in 3x tops and 25Long pants) Only purchased 1 goal outfit in a size 10. I don't know that I'll get that small since I'm tall for a girl as everyone likes to tell me lol. I am just excited that I'll be able to size down instead if up! I figure the 1x and 2x were good deals - even if I were to skip a size (don't see that happening) I would just donate the clothes for someone else to wear / it's hard to find cute plus size clothes in thrift stores.
  12. I am April 13th. I get moments of being scared every now and then but know this will make me much healthier. For now I have just been trying focus on buying stuff I will need after surgery - protien singles and samples and items for packing a small bag of must haves for the surgery center. I really think the biggest obsticles for me will be healing from the surgery and losing 125-135#s. I guess we will see come April 13th. Glad to see there see there are other April people - best of luck to everyone on their surgeries!!!
  13. I just a 3 piece set yesterday at walmart and it was 42.99 (so a lot higher than what I normally pay for shampoo sets) The set has a scalp sunblock, shampoo and conditioner type treatment. Next time I am just going to buy the shampoo and conditioner individually - I rarely go out in the sun to use the sunblock lol but I will use it for the next 30 days and see what it does. I am hoping by starting approx a month before surgery I can counter the loss. Box says you should notice a difference in 30 days.
  14. Where do you order the samples from? I dont want to buy a big tub and then hate the flavor. Hoping to get them before my surgery date of 4/13
  15. Go to nioxin.com and click on salon finder - it will let u know if u can find the product in. Your area. I am going to start using nioxin and Biotin before 4/13 surgery in hopes I don't lose too much hair - otherwise i will seriously be baldheaded. And girls usually can't pull off bald lol
  16. I can't wait to wake up in the morning and not have my back and joints hurting. I also can't wait until I like my picture taken - we just got back from vacation and I want to delete all pics of me but I know that they will b a good reminder of where I was. And i would love to shop in cutesy stores like forever 21 but i feel like a giant. I am 5'9 and a size 24/25 and can't imagine ever being small enough to be able to shop in one of those stores.
  17. I can't figure out how to edit - supposed to be congrats (gotta love the auto type feature) lol
  18. Yay finally someone with the same date as me. Cambyses on getting a date!
  19. The 2 girls here at work who had the surgery lost a lot of hair too! I'm still post op but hoping to avoid hair loss if at all possible - I already have thin baby fine hair & can't imagine having less hair than I already do - I'd probably have to invest in a wig lol
  20. I have aetna too (also in Vegas) when do you get a bariatric case worker? I haven't even heard of that and my surgery is next month?
  21. I'll join the team - I'm April 13th ) don't see too many April peeps here so far! Where is everyone?
  22. My gp is completely against wls as well - so I am going with a new doctor for post op. That way I have full support as I lose weight if I need additional testing or medical care.
  23. I'm april too - the 13th. Obviously i am not superstious, lol. I'm 5'9 and have to stay in 270 range until day of surgery because aetna/ins won't approve me for vsg if I'm below a 40 bmi day of surgery. Look forward to hearing how all the April sleevers do . I can't wait to be healthy again - will never be tiny I'm too tall, lol
  24. I am still preop but the doctor I have said they do the leak test while I am still under anesthesia so they can fix it if necessary
  25. I know u can get ranitidine pills over the counter here - I would try walmart or target pharmacy and see if they carry liquid - I know the both have $4 prescription plans u may luck out on cost
