  1. Hi my name is Marlene I'm 34 and class of 96! I went thru it all in high school lots of grunge with a different flannel for every day of the week and goth phase with doc martens and lots of black lace and velvet with a new hair color every month - purple blue hot pink those were the days lol
  2. I am glad to hear that the balloon stretch isn't too bad. I have a stricture and go in for stretching on aug 10th. Do you have to eat soft foods after or can you return to normal the next day?
  3. You look great! I love everyones before and afters! I cNt wait to have one of my own!
  4. Thank you - I will check those out to - anything to stop my puffiness from showing lol
  5. Wow you your loss is amazing you can definitely see a noticeable difference! So motivating - thank you for posting!
  6. For those of you that have had strictures can you describe the process? Is it a one time fix or do we have to keep having it stretched? What's the recovery time? Is it back to liquids and purees after? I go in for egd and possible balloon stretch of the structure on august 10th. Barium swallow i just did shows sleeve narrowing/stricture. With all the problems i had finding a digestible Protein and lactose intolerance I am really bummed to find out I have a stricture now!
  7. You look great!!! Can't wait to have onederland pics of my own!
  8. I agree it's not a competition however I love seeing everyones progress! It motivates me to see what has been accomplished! So I for one hope everyone keeps posting their progress!
  9. Has anyone done this workout? The transformations online and in the book are amazing! Definitely plan on starting the 12 week workout in August! I'll have a before and after of my own & hope my results are just as good!
  10. Doing good! Went to the gym for the first time last night (I know I should have started a long time ago) down 60#s now from day of surgery! How are you progressing?
  11. Minnie me - dr Hanna does a support group at mountain view hospital every other month on Saturday's. I can give u the dates but I don't have them at the moment!
  12. Thanks everyone - I guess I'll just aim for onederland/199 and take it every 10 down from there and see where I look and feel the best! And can maintain!
  13. I am 5'8 - 5'10 depending on where I was measured LOL How did you determine what your goal weight should be? BMI seems like such a huge range for healthy weight and dr didn't give me a set weight. For now I am shooting for 145 but everyone I have talked too said thus way too thin for my height.
  14. I drink both vitamin water zero and g2. I think the g2 tastes better but it does have a few calories and carbs vs the vitamin water zero.
  15. Happy Monday everyone! Happy to report I am only 6 pounds away from my half way mark. Weighed in this morning at 216.6. Can't believe I'm down 60 pounds since surgery! Getting closer and closer to onederland too, can't wait til the scale hits 199. Well I went in for my 3 mos check up on Friday! I've started having major acid reflux and burning in my stomach so they had me do an xray and barium swallow and they think my sleeve is narrowing. So now I'm scheduled to have an EGD on the 10th. I'm supposed to start a new medicine too, but my prescription plan won't cover it so they are contacting the doctor to see if he has an alternate? Hoping come the 10th, the new medicine will have done the trick or if I have to do the EGD then I hope it comes back with everything A-Okay. I'm glad to see everyone is doing well! Looks like most of us are right in the 50+ pound range since surgery. Can't wait to see everyones progress as the weeks go on! Does anyone else have about 70-75 pounds to go at this point?
  16. I'd be interested to find out what the doctor decides to do for you. I'm going thru a similar predicament. I had a hiatial hernia repair at the time of surgery and have developed major burning and acid reflux again at 11 weeks out. They did an xray and a barium swallow and said it looks like my sleeve is narrowning when I went in on Friday but I'm scheduled for a follow up EGD on August 10th.
  17. CW 216.6 down 10# since start of challenge! Yay!!! Going to the gym tomorrow And doing a bit better on my protein and liquid intake. Looks like it may have been out of my control why i have had so many problems with getting in food and liquid. Had my 3 mos check up yesterday and dr said sleeve is narrowing, so I go back in on the 10th for egd if I still am feeling the same restriction and acid.
  18. The smooth move tea is great - I just don't love the flavor but better than milk of magnesia and it does the job!
  19. So I went in for my 3 mos checkup on Friday had hiatial hernia repair with sleeve and now i am having major acid burn and reflux and some minor pain so they had me do a barium swallow and the dr says it appears my sleeve is narrowing? Wth? Gives me a new medicine to take which i find out my ins company won't cover - so now I'm waiting for a new prescription to be called in and may have to do an endoscopy on aug 10th so they can check out my stomach - just when I thought I was finally on the upside and figuring out how to feed my sleeve this happens! Really hoping come the 10th it's all good at my follow up and I don't have any major complications - stressing myself out thinking if everything that might be wrong or can go wring if they have to stretch my sleeve - but hoping new Meds will do the trick once I can get them. Anyone else have something like this happen?
  20. I am a Vegas sleever too. Sleeved April 13th.
  21. I am hoping that I can lose 130 pounds thru this process too.
