    Gallbladder Vs Sleeve Pain

Im not going to lie Im not really happy with my decision so far. I read on here its normal to feel that way the first 3 months. Ive lost 38lbs in this first month but its just been an uphill battle. I cannot keep anything down. Its so hard to get my Protein in. I cant even stand drinking Water and Ive always loved to drink water. Ive had to change up my Vitamins again bc I would throw up my chewables. I don't want to discourage you because your experience can be a total 180 (I sure hope so). Im just waiting for that one morning I go back to being semi-normal.

    Gallbladder Vs Sleeve Pain

I had the sleeve done on 6/6/12 and I didn't have much pain (maybe a 2/10) just ALOT of nausea. Then I had to get my gallbladder removed on 6/27/12/. I would say the gallbladder was more painful but I had no nausea. I would gladly take the pain over the nausea.

    Help Pls Need Advice !

I am in the same exact boat ( I work overnight too) as you with a few more complications. I had my surgery on 6/6/12 and Ive been in the hosp twice since then.I recently got my gallbadder taken out on the 27th.Two surgeries within a month has my body so weak I dunno whats next. Its soooo hard to get my fluids in. I can barely get my nausea/zantac meds down let alone my vitamins. I knew this wouldnt be a walk in the park but this is alot to deal with. I have my fingers crossed for you.

    Post Op 1 Day

I am in the same boat with you. I am 24 and I thought I would bounce back but boy was I wrong. I had surgery on 6/6/12 and Ive been in the hosp 3 times since. I had problems with nausea, pain,I wasnt able to urine for 2 days and I had to get my gallbladder removed on the 27th. 2 surgeries in one month has put a toll on me but im trying to stay optimistic. Hope u have a speedy recovery.

    Eye Site After Durgery

I also had my surgery on 6/6 and Ive been having trouble with blurry vision as well. I don't wear contact or glasses so I was wondering was this a side effect from anesthesia/pain meds.

    Unjury And Sodium?

My NUT told me that unjury's chicken broth is ok once a day.We actually need sodium during our liquid phase. One bottle of gatorade has 440mg of sodium. It helps with dehydration. She said too much sodium is a problem once we're back to solid food. As far as the packaging... They're saying one packet is 150 calories.

    Nutrition Help

Wow... I'm so sorry you are going through this....My surgery is tommorrow and this post has me freaking out. Was the fact that the ghrelin hormone was taken out during increased your chance of developing dementia (along w the Vitamin deficiency)?? Getting early dementia is my number fear with this surgery. I've also dealt with nausea my whole life so I'm hoping this surgery doesn't intensify that. Are you on any type of nausea medication??Is it working?

  12. You can do it!!! Im finishing up my last 3 days of the all liquid diet(2weeks).The first 3-4 days are the hardest and afterward it does get easier.I just try to stay away from temptation at all costs.lol. I only weigh myself once a week bt my first 7 days I lost almost 13lbs. That has motivated me for this last week. I also try to keep myself busy so I dont think about food. Keep your eyes on the prize and you'll make it!!Goodluck

    Medical Assistant Course

Have u ever thought about emt/paramedic field?? Ive been a paramedic for about 3 years now and was an emt for abt 3 years as well. (You have to be an emt before paramedic). I love working in this field. I was thinking about moving on to nursing but I cant stand being in 4 walls. No two days are alike in this field and I love that. Im out and about no supervisor over my shoulder.Just me and my partner.I love the downtime (while still getting paid). Yes its stressful just a s any other career but I find so many perks with it. Good luck on whatever u choose.
  14. My surgeon tells us to stay away from carbonated drinks because they can stretch the sleeve.
  15. Oh no guys I hope the date doesn't have to get pushed back. If so everything happens for a reason and in the end you'll still make it to the loser bench Yeah the first 3-4 days are hard but then it really starts to ease up.Im on day 7 of 14 and Ive lost 12 pounds already. This has really motivated me to keep going for this last stretch. Good luck you can do it !!!

    Lortab

My surgery is about a week away and Im wondering about pain management afterwards. Is lotab really as nasty as people says it is?? I REALLY REALLY hate liquid medicine. I havent had liquid medicine since childhood because the taste always made me throwup. Is their any alternative to pain management afterwards??

  19. and I cant believe how well Im holding up!! I thought I wouldve been starving and pulling all my hair out by now.I dont want to talk too soon because I know I have 9 days left but I am so proud of what I have accomplished so far. My roommates have been eating all my faves this week and "aunt flo" is here bt I just simply go to my room and drink my shake and block it out!! I hope all the other pre-op dieters are doing good as well.
