  1. Well I'm current 2.5 months out and I'm 60 pounds down from my highest weight. I couldn't do it any more, my clothes were goofy looking on me already. So I went to tj max and put a few things on lay a way. I choose stuff that were a size smaller. The important thing is to pick stuff that is versatile and can be worn if it's a little big.
  2. Ok here goes, my name is Stephanie I am 34 years old. Born and raised in Chicago. I have been married for 5 years and I have a 14 year old son from a previous relationship. I was always curvy, I was a size 14/16, however once I got married I put my self and my health on the back burner, and I gained about 80 pounds. I have been diagnosed with PCOS. I work full time and am going to school to get my BA, I take 3-4 classes a semester, so I have a pretty full schedule. Lucky my son is a little older and somewhat independent my husband kinda helps around the house. I have been found really great with my sleeve and hope it continues.
  3. Zumba rocks, it does get better, once you get familiar with the moves you will feel better about it. Trust me no one probably noticed, I was always to into my own moves to be checking out anyone else's. Keep up the good work.
  4. When can you exercise? That is the most common ? I see, how soon do you have to wait to have sex? I'm assuming that you've seen the nutritionist already, as they usually answer all the diet questions.
  5. I have pcos so I already have thin hair. My hair just started to fall out. What makes it noticeable is that you can see my scalp, it doesn't help that I have jet black hair and I'm light completed. So I found a product Xfusion on eBay it doesn't help with regrowth or anything, but it really does help camouflage my thining hair. I've even got compliments on how full my hair looks.
  6. First I would check if the copay had to be paid to the surgeon or the facility. Then who ever you have to pay it to, it is really upto them. Every facility/doctor is different.
  7. Hello Embot, do you mind if I ask which hospital you had your surgery at?? It sounds like your doing good so far.
  8. I agree with the above statements. Because you had complications your stomach may need a little extra time to heal. Mashed potatoes can be kinda rough going down, I would try yogurt, cottage cheese, pudding, and jello. Gradually work your way upto more dense food as time goes on. Best of luck to you.
  9. Your friend may be worried out of ignorance, most likely she doesn't know much about procedure and she prob doesnt know much about how stuff goes down in Mexico. Just have confidence in your decision and know that you are doing the right thing for yourself.
  10. It will be over and done with before you know it. Good luck.
  11. Vodka and cranberry or sangria those are my two go to drinks. I've not really drank more than 1 or 2 at a time.
  12. The biggest challenge I had was carrying my books.
  13. Haha...I'm with you on this one I had to google it.
  14. Stay strong you can do this.
  15. Congrats, don't worry before you know it it will be a regular occurance.
  16. Popcorn, that's mine. Luckily I'm not a huge fan.
  17. Wow you look great. The weight loss is very noticeable. Keep up the good work.
  18. Wow, I hope you get better soon. Congrats on the weight loss.
  19. I wasn't always fat, but when I did get fat, I still bought sizes that were just too small. Good thing I never threw them out. They are sure coming in handy now.
  20. Did you tell her where you went for vacation. If you said Mexico you can easily say that you had a bad reaction to the food, and your stomach is really queasy. Explain to her the nature of your job it is not feasible to really stop working to go th the bathroom every few minutes. I tend to get this reaction every time I go to Mexico.
  21. I was sleeved on 3/27. Total weight loss 60 pounds of which 45 pounds is loss after my sleeve. Highest weight: 299 Surgery weight: 284 Current weight: 239
  22. The good thing is that you are doing something about it. I would suggest to start picking up some sleeve habits such as eating slow, don't wear and drink. Best of luck..
  23. Yippie for you. Keep up the good work.
