  1. Cheer up! At 18 days I had only lost 16 lbs and then I didn't lose anymore until I was 6 weeks post-op. I then lost 6 lbs. I was getting in all of my protein & fluids in by 2 weeks. You might have stalls, but keep eating & drinking right & they will break:)

  3. I ate 2 hard boiled eggs in 30 minutes today. Is that too much at this point? Are hard boiled eggs a good idea for every day? Thanks!
  4. Look online. I'm sure you could find an incentive spirometer. BTW Dr Aceves and his staff are amazing:)

  6. Thanks for the replies. It is a weird internal & external type of pain. I admit I haven't been as careful about bending & stretching. I also have been carrying laundry baskets up & down the stairs. I think it must be a little strain. Hopefully it will go way soon.
  7. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced what I am feeling. I am 4 1/2 weeks post-op and today I am feeling tenderness just above my belly button and to the left of my belly button. It just feels tender if I rub my hand over that area. Could my sleeve just be irritated? I have read other posts where someone referred to the sleeve being irritated. I haven't done or eaten anything different. I appreciate any input. Thanks!
  8. Good luck to you. You'll be fine. I really wasn't nervous but I was sooo ready to get this done. The pain was not bad. I didn't really have much tummy discomfort but I did get some shoulder pain. Make sure you take your pain meds so you can get up & walk. The more you walk the better off you will be. I am one month post-op tomorrow and I have no regrets. Keep us posted on how you're doing:)
  9. Hey everyone! Is anyone interested in some chewable calcium citrate? I bought 3 bottles & they are too gritty & vitamin tasting for me. I would send them for just the cost of shipping which I am guessing would be no more than $5. Let me know if interested. First come, first serve:)
  10. I am 3,5 weeks out & the last few mornings I have woke up with terrible heartburn. I don't feel it in my throat or anything but I have this burning in my chest. I take nexium every morning already. One morning I took a Tums & it helped somewhat, but I hate waking up with that feeling. Has anyone else experienced this, if so, what did you do? Thank you!
  11. Praying for you:)

Does anyone use Truvia instead of Splenda? Any idea if it makes a difference in weight loss? Thanks!
  13. Hang In there. If you are in pain definitely ask for pain medicine. This first night was the worst for me. The nurses gave me pain meds through the first night & it was well controlled. I slept well but it was painful to get up. Everyday will be a little better. By the time I left the hospital, 3 days post-op i was only taking Toradol at bedtime. Just remember to keep sipping & walk:)
