I had this pain too, dr said it was from the band irritating my diaphragm... I'm ok now it was just at beginning it hurt so bad I kept heating pad on it

Get your protein- I have those protein shots- and when I take those I noticed i'm not hungry as long as i'm getting my full protein i'm suppose to have- It makes it much better and with drinking my waters and such it helps..

I had pain at the bottom of my left chest/rib cage- but i'm a week and a half out and it has finally moved on- i've read it's from everything being stitched and where it's situated and the nerves it could be hitting and the gas altogether just causes pain-- Mine was whenever I inhaled it would hurt--- I used a heating pad for a couple of days.

I am on day 7 and I have a severe pain that is shooting thru my left shoulder that just started toniggt and the pains in my left chest has been uncomfortable from day one... What in the world is the pain in my shoulder from?? It's horrible and comes and goes

Have not been able to lay down or sleep in my bed I have been sleeping in my recliner. When I lay flat on my back I feel like something heavy is sitting on my stomach and when I lay on my side it hurts my stomach... Ugh I have to be on an incline.. I'm ready for this to be over so I can sleep back in my bed.. Banded last wed may 23

I start my second week this Wednesday but I went ahead and had cream of wheat yesterday and I was fine.... I was so sick of broth

I had mine done wednesday may 23rd, I'm already sick of the same liquids.

The pain meds help me be more moveable but when they wear off it is painful but I can tolerate I've been sleeping in recliner because getting up out of bed is killed because I have to use my stomach muscles too much

I can't feel my port either my stomach is more swollen on that side than the other though I had single incision and my belly button is sore sitting up and laying back is painful

Hey I'm 25 just got banded yesterday the 23rd how is everything going for you all I'm doing good for second day a little pain from gas that's still floating around ughhh

I thought the Single incision was only one cut inside the belly button. That is what my doctor told me.. How did you have 3 cuts? That is what I am having and he mentioned that it has less recovery time due to not all those other incisions to wait around to heal.

BCBS of NC They did not approve the first time-- with these weights and BMI-- they stated they had to be 40 for 2010 and 2011-- for 2 years prior.and I didn't have any comorbids. I was so upset--- 2010-5ft 3in 206lbs 36.5 BMI 2011-5ft 3in 217lbs 36.5 BMI 2012 5ft 3in 226 40.0 BMI --------------------------------------- Then to come to find out the doctors didn't get my correct weight for 2010 which was 5ft 3 in 230-- 40.0 BMI--- They are sending in an appeal and I hope they approve this go around but the doctors office still thinks they will not since 2011 was not a BMI of 40 Can you Appeal for the 3rd time around -- does anyone know? It just makes me upset that i'm considered overweight either way- and i'm just a few points away on the BMI scale last year to be in the approval range- that Just gets me!! Any Help from any one? thanks

My First Consultation appt with the Surgeon is on March 21st 2012. I have completed the paper work. Verified my insurance to see if it's covered and it is!! I have not had any other appointments yet.-- But Friday March 16th I have a physical appointment with my primary doctor. I wanted to let them know that I was interested in lap band.. What questions do I need to ask the doctor? Should I show her my Packet of paperwork I Have to fill out?? After this consultation appt what will I have to do next? I am just curious before I go. Thanks
