March Sleever's Status Update?
- Im Here At Yale!
Janine, how are you feeling? I hope things went well.- Please Help, Has Anyone Else Had...
My child has had hand, foot and mouth disease, but he really couldn't articulate how he felt with it. However, I had a friend get it last year and she said she was run down, her joints hurts, so tired and just overall felt bad. She thought she had something terminal (how she put it) because she felt so bad with it. Apparently it affects adults much differently than children and it's not very common for adults to get. Maybe this is why your GP hasn't thought to test for it. Anyway, good luck. I hope you feel better very soon.- Im Here At Yale!
Goof luck Janine. You'll do great. I'm praying for you....- Small Goals Make It Seem Achievable...
So I know some of you already do this, but I find setting small goals gives me little victories along the way and prevent me from getting discouraged when stalls hit. When you have large amount of weights to lose it can seem daunting to reach a huge goal. Setting small ones along the way help us reach them. The way I do it is set a goal and state the reason why it's my goal. Then I set several others after them. See below: Starting today, 209.6 (down from 243.6-includes 2 week pre-op and surgery on 3/13/12) 1st goal- lose 6 (this will take my overall weight loss, including pre-op to 40 lbs/ weight will be 203.6) 2nd goal-lose 4 (this will take me to Onederland, 199.6) 3rd goal-lose 6 (this will take me to 50 lbs weight loss and half way to goal,193.6) 4th goal-lose 4 (this will take me to the 180's, 189.6) 5th goal-lose 6 (this will take me to 60 lbs lost and 60% to goal, 183.6 6th goal-lose 0.6 (this is my wedding weight from 13 years ago,183) 7th goal-lose 4 (this will put me at 179-I haven't seen the 170's in 16 years,179) 8th goal-lose 5.4 (this will put me at 70 lbs lost and 70% to goal, 173.6) 9th goal-lose 4 (this will put me in the 160's, 169.6) 10th goal-lose 6 (this will put me at 80 lbs lost and 80% to goal, 163.6) 11th goal-lose 4 (this will put me in the 150's-haven't seen this in 18 years, 159.6) 12th goal-lose 6 (this will put me at 90lbs lost and 90% to goal, 153.6) 13th goal-lose 4 (this will put me in the 140's, 149.6) 14th goal-lose 6 (GOAL!!! 100 lbs lost) 15th goal-maintain, maintain, maintain Please join me if you like. When we achieve our mini goals it feels so good and it's a chance to Celebrate successes along the way. Good luck!- 80 Pounds Down! New Pic!
You look amazing and so much younger. I pray this will happen to me. Congrats!- Super Saturday Weigh In
Onederland....congrats! I hope to move there soon myself (you notice I didn't say visit). So excited for you!- Not Wls Related But I Need Opinions...
Okay, here is my opinion, take it or leave it. I think it is okay to have them register, but do not put this on the invite. You never want to make guests feel obligated to bring a gift to a housewarming party. However, to encourage gift giving, you can say something at the bottom of the invite like this: If you were thinking of bringing a gift and need gift ideas, please contact: Your Name and phone number. When they contact you, you can tell them they still have a wedding registry. If they find out they registered just for the party, this could make the guests feel uncomfortable. You never know who on your guest list is following the etiquette rules, so this allows you to cover all bases. However you decide, your friend will be thankful for you hostessing her party. Good luck!- Memorial Day Challenge!

I just realized I quoted my Memorial day challege to the Super Saturday weigh in thread. I blame it on my 7 year old who is rushing me. Sorry all...- Super Saturday Weigh In

I had surgery on March 13th. I hit the dreaded stall 9 days out of surgery and started to lose a few ounces here and there last week and this week i lost 4.6lbs. 1 month, 4 days post op... PSW: 243.6 (Pre-surgery weight) SW: 231.6 (Surgery weight) LWWI: 216.6 (Last week's weigh-in) CW: 212.0 (Current Weight) Total loss: 31.6 (19.4 since surgery)- Super Saturday Weigh In

People hit stalls at different times and your body is still in shock from surgery so this could be "normal" for you. I hit a stall only 9 days from surgery. Most people hit 2-3 weeks out, i was obviously early and you just might be hitting yours much earlier. Hang in there, you'll start losing more and more as your tummy gets used to the new life.- Super Saturday Weigh In
Peacequeen, good to know. What do you mean your ticker?- Memorial Day Challenge!

It was supposed to say feels soooo good to be a loser. Dang autcorrect strikes again!- Super Saturday Weigh In
Great job! It feels spool good to be a loser! Ha!- Super Saturday Weigh In
Yay, I broke my stall and lost 4.6lbs this week. I'm super excited!!!! I hope I am off my stinkin' stall for a while. 1 month, 4 days post op... PSW: 243.6 (Pre-surgery weight) SW: 231.6 (Surgery weight) LWWI: 216.6 (Last week's weigh-in) CW: 212.0 (Current Weight) Total loss: 31.6 (19.4 since surgery) I am not sure what people consider their starting weight so I called it surgery weight. Are people counting from the date of surgery or from the start if their pre-op diet? I don't want to mislead newbies into thinking I lost 31.6 lbs in 4 weeks. I hope I did this right.- Memorial Day Challenge!
You can do it. Thanks for your response.- Memorial Day Challenge!
I'm in too! I am one month out and my starting weight 243.6, current weight 216.6, challenge goal 20lbs or 196.6 and ultimate goal 150lbs. Is 20lbs in 7 weeks realistic at only 1 month post op? I hit a two week stall already at 9 days post op. Fingers crossed! Good luck everyone!- What A Great Year Its Been! Pictures Included
You look so incredible. If I wasn't married....LOL!- Looking For Some Video Inspiration
