  1. How are you doing? I haven't been on the site in a while. We should meet up. We can discuss our experience with Dr. Garcia.

  2. Had my monthly visit with my nutritistionist. I am down another 10 lbs! Yeah. I'm down 41 lbs since surgery. 61 lbs for my highest weight. Yay!!!!

  4. Went to a party last weekend. Saw some people that haven't seen me in a long time. Everyone was shocked how good I looked. Some were happy for me, some hated. I'm stilll adjusting to my new body. I wore a tight dress for the first time in well over a year. I felt sexy and a tad bit self conscious. My confidence is improving. Yay to NSV's!!!

  5. The second month post my sleeve surgery has been difficult. My mom has visited most of the month and well, let's just say it has been hard to resist her home cooking!! Sigh... next monday is my two month anniversary. Gotta try to burns some calories this weekend. I want another loss on the scale.

  6. Had my monthly visit with my nutritionist. My weight is 275 lbs. That's a loss of 11 lbs since my last weigh in two weeks ago. Yay, I love my sleeve!!!!

  7. Happy Mother's Day!!! I am fighting an ear and sinus infection, plus, Aunt Flow is in town. Oh Vay!! I'm feeling down but not out. Resting and laying low today.

  10. Today is my 1 month sleeve anniversary. My weight... drumroll: 286.0 lbs. That's a total loss of 21 lbs my first month. Wahoo!!!!!

  11. This morning the scale reported my weight as 288.7. Yay!! I'm only 1.7 lbs away from reaching my goal of 20 lbs lost for my first month anniversary on May 11.

  12. One of the biggest blessings to come from my sleeve journey is my new love for exercising. I am working out 4-5 days a week. I jogged for 1 minute on the treadmill. Yay!!!

  13. I'm still having problems getting my daily water intake. I have yet to reach 64 oz. I'm drinking tea, water, propel zero and protein shakes. Any advice? It's hard for me to sip sip sip all day

  14. Weekly weigh in -- Lost 4 lbs. Down 17 lbs total since my sleeve surgery on April 11 (3 weeks ago)

  15. Walked 5 miles today and got back on my soft foods plan. There will be weightloss pitfalls and stumbles. The most important thing is to pick yourself up and get back in the race!

  16. I had a weak moment last night...ate 2 chicken nuggets and 1/2 an ice cream cone from McDonald's. Got terrible gas and stomach pains afterwards. I felt so bad for jumping ahead of my schedule. I'm struggling.

  17. I survived my company's potluck lunch. Made healthy choices (hummus, roasted chicken) and said NO! to the dessert table. Me 1 Temptation 0 ... Winning!!!!

  18. Had my first visit with the nutritionist yesterday. 2 weeks since my sleeve surgery and I have lost 13 lbs!!!!

  19. I worked out for 60 minutes last night. First workout since my sleeve surgery on April 11. I feel great!

  20. Back to work today. Had a small cup of cream brocolli soup and a 1/4 of a mashed banana

  21. had 6 oz. vanilla greek yoguart yesterday and increased my liquid intake. Both tolerated well :-)

  22. Ate one 3.5 oz sugar free lime jello for dinner and sipped 3 oz of my protein shake during the day plus a couple of sips of warm chamomille tea. Yay Progress! :-)

  23. Day 6 post op and I still have gas pains and coughing up phlegm. I wighed on the scale yesterday and I gained 1.5 lbs!! I'm bummed. I think it is due to all the iv fluids they gave me in the hospital as I was dehydrated. I'm able to drink 1 protein shake a day which is what is recommended by my NUT. I walked a little yesterday but noticed I got tired quickly. Also, I had a cup of organic chicken broth and sugar free pudding last night. I felt SO bloated afterwards. Big mistake...

  24. I have a video and photo slide show I will share soon. Dr. Garcia took a pic of my removed somach. OMG, it was so big. SMH...

  25. On my way back to Wash, DC. My surgery with Dr.Fernando Garcia was amazing! No problems, complications, etc. Everyone was so nice and attentive. I felt like a VIP. The hospital was immaculate. This was the best surgical experience in my life. I will recomend Dr. Garcia to everyone!!!
