  1. Hello, I am flying to San Diego on April 10 to have the sleeve surgery in Tijuana, Mexico with Dr. Garcia (my insurance excludes WLS). I have booked my airfare and now need to notify my boss. I'm taking a week off but I'm not sure what to tell him as the reason for requesting the time off. I don't want my boss or co-workers to know I'm traveling to have weight loss surgery. My boss is pretty laid back so I know it won't be a big issue but I'm not sure what to tell him. I'm thinking I will just say I need the time to take care of some business at home (ie. home repairs). Any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!
  2. How are you doing? I haven't been on the site in a while. We should meet up. We can discuss our experience with Dr. Garcia.

  4. Hello, I will be sleeved by Dr. Fernando Garcia in Tijuana, Mexico on April 11. I'm starting to get nervous (and excited). I was wondering how those who were sleeved by Dr. Garcia in March or in earlier months are doing. I would love to hear some updates. It would help alieve some of my aprehension. I am grateful for this site. It is so informative and supportive.

I'm stilll adjusting to my new body. I wore a tight dress for the first time in well over a year. I felt sexy and a tad bit self conscious. My confidence is improving. Yay to NSV's!!!

Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..

I'm a single sleever. Sleeved just over a month ago (4/11/12). Have been single most of my life. No children. I have noticed some men checking me out. No dates yet. I'm ready but nervous about dating. It's been awhile. I love my new sleeve and more active lifestyle. My self-esteem and confidence is steadily improving as the lbs drop. Looking forward to hearing your stories, tips and advice as we all venture into the dating pool
