  1. I had mine done on the 28th, too. I seriously questioned my decision after the gas pains hit!! But being an RN, I knew they would pass. I am still having some burning at my port incision site, but it is better. I have a high tolerance for pain and have only taken 1/2tsp of pain med at a time once or twice a day. However, on day 3 I took 3 doses (the gas pain was really bad!). I have not needed anything other than Liquid Motrin today. My concern is the hunger. My doctor and bariatric nurse have a very strict diet plan. The first whole week is clear liquids only. I am really bored with that!! I am not supposed to start full liquids until Tuesday (1 wk post-op) and then stay on that for another week. Does anyone else have such a strict diet?
