  1. He probably does not care what she thinks about his attitude he already got paid for the surgery.
  2. All I can say is WOW. You have more patients than I do.
  3. Congrats Girls!! I will be right behind you going to see Dr. Garcia.
  4. I am also using Linda with alighterme. I have had a great experience so far. I wish I could do the surgery sooner but I cannot. I also liked the 2 night stay in the hotel.
  5. Let us know what they say. I hope everything is ok.
  6. Amen! It is ridiculous to have to justify why you are taking your vacation time owed to you. Its your time and you deserve to take it and do anything you want with it.
  7. I was originally going to do the lap band but changed my mind quickly. I do not want to deal with having it filled. I decided the weight loss is not as much as what I want to lose with the band. The side effects of having a foreign object in your body is scary. It is not a permanent tool and can cause alot of problems. Plus I do not want to have a second surgery later on having it removed and having the sleeve. I have seen alot of people who gained all their weight back after the band and ended up getting the sleeve. I figured I would just save time and money and go straight for the sleeve.
  8. Me too. I am so nervous and scared but its a good feeling if that makes any sense.
  9. I am so excited for you! I have my own countdown going but its alot longer than yours lol. 6 weeks and 3 days until I leave but its 6 weeks and 6 days until my surgery.
  10. That is great. I am glad your better.
  11. Please keep us posted on your status.
  12. I changed mine to May 7th so I am going a week earlier. I am so excited! Good luck to you also!!
  13. Your welcome. You definitely have my support.
  14. Excuse me for saying this but your boss is an ASS. He obviously does not what it is really like to struggle with a weight problem. Most people especially women do not have time to go to the gym 4 times a week. He obviously gave you a review based on your weight and not just your job performance. He is a pig and you should find a new job! I am so sorry you had to go through that with your manager. He is not very professional because he is not supposed to be commenting on your personal life because it is frankly none of his business. What a jerk! This makes me so furious.
  15. What utube video? I do not want one either!
  16. Oh I know you didn't mean it as a pity sad. I totally understand where you are coming from too. I am happy with my smaller support group because that is my safe zone. You are fortunate enough to have a wider spectrum of support. That is great. I may tell people later on as I feel I can trust them. I also kind of like the fact that it is my private secret right now and it is all mine.
  17. Thank you! I am not sad at all I have everything I need lol. Good luck with your journey and I am glad you have a great support system. You are a lucky person.
  18. You have to understand that in order to be proud of ourselves we do not need the people around us to approve. We can be proud of ourselves without telling the world about our surgery. It is just much easier to live with a positive attitude when you are surrounded with support and not negativity. My husband, daughter and cousin know what I am about to do. That is all I am going to tell because they are the people that I trust the most in my life and I know they love me. That is all the support I need to make this journey a successful one. I am very proud of my decision. I walk around with a big smile on my face everyday anticipating my surgery day. It is almost better because it is my own private excitement.
  19. I am proud of my decision but for me it is a private matter. I do not care to share it with people because frankly I do not feel it is any of their business. It is a private struggle for me because most of the people in my family are not over weight and they do not understand what I have gone through. It is like a non smoker saying to smokers you could just quit if you really wanted to. Addiction is not that easy to just quit. This is the same scenario but with food. I just do not want to hear the comments and the remarks like I had to cheat to lose weight. I want to be proud of myself without defending it all the time. I hope this makes sense.
  20. No just the date I picked. I am enrolled at NSU Broken Arrow and my semester doesn't end until then.
  21. I don't think so. I havent heard anyone say that they had one. Some surgeries require a catheter but I am not sure.
  22. I am scheduled for May 7th with Dr. Garcia. He charges $5000, in Tijuana, he uses a full service hospital, this package includes one night in a hotel before the surgery, 2 days and nights in the hosptial (private room for and a guest), 2 more nights in a hotel after surgery. This also includes all tests, surgery, hosptial and no hidden fees. You should go the same time I do
  23. Your welcome I am glad it helped with your questions. I am going to use Dr. Garcia. I am at peace with my decision after alot of research. You will be at peace also with whoever you choose. Garcia and Kelly both are good surgeons.
