  1. Dr. Alvarez has a utube video about the gastric sleeve stapler and he shows the instrument with the staples and shows it after stapling a piece of ham. It is very educational this might answer your questions. This is the actual link. It was loaded in May of 2011 but it will help answer some of your questions.
  2. I have heard great things about both so I think either would be a good decision. Dr. Kelly is cheaper though. When are you having your surgery? I am using Dr. Garcia.
  3. Just try to stay calm until you speak with the Doctor. Keep us updated on what he says.
  4. I was told that Mi Doctor was a full service hospital. I chose Dr. Garcia and am very happy with my decision. I did alot of research with actuall patients so I think it will be great.
  5. I am sure you are worried this is a scary situation. I was also told peppermint tea soothes the sleeve. It sounds grose to me but might be worth a try.
  6. If the food irritated your stomach it is probably inflamed and will take a little longer to heal. Just sip slow like desertmom suggested. It will take a littel time for the swelling to go down. Are you running a fever at all?
  7. I am going with Dr. Garcia and it is $5000. I have done alot of research and talked with alot of his patients that used him. I am pleased with my decision to use him. My surgery is May 7th.
  8. Please keep us updated on how your doing.
  9. Benadryl will help with any allergic reaction also.
  10. Maybe food was introduced too soon. You will run a fever if you have an infection so if your not feverish then you are probably fine in that area. I would stay away from anything except liquids for a few days at least.
  11. Where did you have your surgery?
  12. I am so glad your experience is a good one. I am having my sleeve on May 7th with Dr. Garcia. I would like that movie link lol.
