Hi NJsharon I am from NJ as well, II chose Dr Ortiz at the obesity control center in Tijuana. His facility is ICE certified ( international circle of excellence), wich mean they meet the highest standards of care. He is also a full member of the American society for metabolic and bariatric surgery. He has also trained a lot of doctors here in the states. His credentials are great and from what I can find a very low to zero complication rate.

Thanks sweetness, That's comforting to hear, I'm going to pack extremely lite. Should I take anything in particular? Anything you suggest or recommend?

I'm hard w diets as well, I did a juice fast a few months ago and lost 15 lbs in 13 days.. I may fast the last 5 days.. I like the premier protein drinks.. But I have been using the Costco brand weight loss shakes as well.. They are delicious. The premier protein is high in protein so I'll use those after surgery. Are you getting sleeved in the states?

2 protein drinks and one sensible meal. (chicken breast or fish broiled or grilled) and green vege's only. Day 13,14 liquid only. Are you on a pre-op as well?

I am going to be sleeves in Mexico on the 27th. I will be traveling alone. Not overly concerned but I do feel nervous about being In the hotel alone.

I was scheduled with him. Due to issues w my insurance company I decides to go self pay.. I know 3 people that used him and they all have wonderful things to say. They also had wonderful results
