    It gets better. Believe me.
I very much enjoy going out to eat with my family. I usually just ask for a "to go" box at the same time I order my food. When the food arrives, I put a lot of it (ok, most of it!) in the to-go box and eat the sleeve-sized portion on my plate. That way it doesn't look like I'm not eating (if you are self-conscous about that) because your plate is empty when the waiter comes around with the bill. Also, having the small portion on your plate ensure you won't overeat and get a sleeve-ache.
It takes time to adjust to the new way of doing things. You'll find little tricks that make you feel comfortable and confident when eating out at resturants. The great thing about the sleeve is that once you are fully healed, you can really eat anything with fear of dumping or food getting "stuck" (which happens with RNY and lap-band patients). I think most sleevers have a it a bit easier at resturants than folks with the RNY or bands.
You'll feel healthy normal soon... don't worry. Just be patient with yourself and you will find your own way.

So, I was watching Dr. Oz yesterday and saw a preview for the local news. They were featuring a young chef, David Ralic, who has added a wls section to his menu.
Apparently, this young man (26) had the sleeve done a month ago...yay sleeve! Anyway, the new menu was available starting yesterday. I plan to check him out as soon as I am able to eat regular meals. Kudos to him!!!
For anyone who is interested, I have included a link to an article that featured him and his website.
    Enjoy...

I had something similar to this while travelling. It wasn't the greatest choice on the menu, but I knew I'd eat only a small amount, and my husband enjoyed it, too. It gave me an opportunity to play around with this at home, and to recreate it as something lower in fat.
    Sauce
    2 T low-fat Mayonnaise
    2-1/2 t ketchup
    1/2 t pickle relish
    1/2 t yellow mustard
    Tortilla
    2 taco-size low-carb tortillas
1/2 pound lean ground beef, chicken, turkey, or a mixture
1/2 C low-fat shredded cheese (I like a combination of mozzarella and cheddar)
    Seasonings to taste
    Toppings
    1 C shredded lettuce
    1 chopped Tomato
    1/4 C chopped onion (optional)
    Pickle chips (optional)
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Stir together the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
Cook the ground meat in a pan until done. I usually add a bit of Water to help break it down into smaller pieces. Drain any fat, then add seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic, etc.) to taste.
While the meat is cooking, grill the tortillas on both sides in a dry pan until they begin to brown and puff up. Set aside on a cookie sheet until the meat is done.
Spread the sauce on the tortillas evenly, followed by the meat. Sprinkle the cheese, being careful not to let it get too close to the edge. Place in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and beginning to brown.
Serve hot with the desired toppings. Serves two (or four if you're sleeved) as a very filling meal, but can be doubled, tripled, etc.
Totals - Whole Recipe / Per Tortilla
    Calories: 416.5 / 208.3
    Total Fat: 15.9 / 8.0
    Saturated Fat: 5.4 / 2.7
    Carbs: 30.4 / 15.2
    Fiber: 10.2 / 5.1
    Sugar: 9.4 / 4.7
    Protein: 46.1 / 23.1
These totals are based on the following specific items: Hellmann's Light Mayonnaise, La Tortilla Factory Low-Carb Tortillas, 95% lean ground beef, and Mt. Olive dill pickle chips. They also add in all the toppings. Your mileage may vary.

Just pour over the posts on this forum, there is so much information you can learn from. Or purchase one of the books on Sleeve Gastrectomy, perhaps on Amazon.< /p>
There are several things that should be at the top of your list:

Get at least 64 oz of fluids in daily - this can be Water, sugar free drinks, etc.
Do not drink with your meals (stop at least 30 min before and up to an hour after)
Get at least 70-90 grams of Protein per day (protein from meats/dairy/beans/eggs/fish)
(Supplement your Protein levels with Protein shakes if you need to)
With each meal, focus on protein first 60%, then veggies 30%, then carbs 10% (whole grains)
Get some exercise everyday - at least 30 minutes, more when you can
Track your fluids, protein, and calories - you should be getting 800-1200 calories (for your height/weight)
(I use myfitnesspal.com to keep my food journal up to date but you can use a notebook)
You need Vitamins, a good multi-Vitamin, Vitamin D3 1000 mg., and take B12 - 1000 mg sublingual 3 times a week, and thiamine 50 mg - or a good B complex, and Calcium Citrate during the day (3-4 times)

You can do this. Reach out, research on your own, take this tool and make the best of it and you will be healthier and look better. We are all here because we had our own food addictions. We are not here to judge, but to help!!!

I found a great way to do the Protein shake.. Mix a sugar free carnation instant Breakfast chocolate packet (5g) with 1 scoop powders? utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury unflavored Protein powder (20g) and 1.5 cups skim milk (13g) = 38g protein. It tastes like chocolate milk. Very good!!
You could use 1 cup of milk for 8g which would lower it to 33g protein, but I wanted it a little thinner.
