  1. Sleeved 4/17, I started out at 233 and lost 30 lbs before surgery. I've only lost 30 lbs since surgery but a whole lot of inches. I now weigh...drum roll please...173. I started out wearing size 22-24 and now I'm a 16....which I have never been in my entire adult life and medium to large shirts. I can now fit my 12 y/o's shirts!!!!! I'm happy with losing slowly and I don't have much more till goal. :-)
  2. Oops! Anyway...I'm 6 weeks out now. I don't broadcast my surgery but I let people know that I feel wouldn't broadcast it either. I was recently asked by a staff member of my apartment building how I'm losing the weight...I just said I've been working out and watching what I eat (this is being truthful and not letting her all in my business). I also have a FB friend that asked in a recent pic I put up if I had surgery. This annoyed me so much, considering she already knows that but to comment on a pic and ask me that was rude! I'm a somewhat private person and I did not display anything about my surgery, so what makes her think she can? The nerve of some people! Did I mention she is really a friend of my best friend and I don't care for her too much...

  4. My doctor also told me that 10 lbs a month is good. I was getting a little discouraged too! I am 6 weeks out and I have lost 15-20 lbs. If the doctors says its good then I guess I'm ok with that.
  5. I guess I kinda pick n choose who knows about my surgery. Close friends n family are the only ones who really know. Someone I know asked me what I was doing to lose the weight and I just said working out. Lol..it's nobody's business if I don't want it to be!
  6. So I'm 3 weeks todays and feeling great. I've been a little tired but my energy is coming back. Over the weekend I had my first NSV...or shall I say I had two? I was going out with friends and went shopping for a new outfit....after being in a 22 for so long I can actually fit a 16. I have never worn a 16. When I was this size I was a teenager and I wore mens clothes anyway so I didn't know what a 16 looked like...and now I do!!! And my second NSV...I was the sober driver. I had an ok time...it wasn't really my scene but hanging out with friends and being able to relax and enjoy myself without being intoxicated felt great!!
  7. Oh...and even though I haven't lost much weight others have said they see it so maybe, just maybe, I'm losing inches.
  8. Why do u feel like your doing something wrong? Everyones body is different as I'm learning myself. I've only lost 3 lbs @ 2 weeks post op.
  9. Thanx! I'm not having trouble getting liquids in as long as they are warm. And I'm walking as much as I can. Good thing I live in an apartment building!!
  10. I'm a little sore but so glad to be in my own bed. My sleeve only likes warm liquids. Incision spots are a little tender n still kind of groggy from the meds but I feel fine. Oh....and very hungry!! I just want to eat. Maybe its more head hunger because I've watched my fiance eat n it didn't bother me too much. Maybe its that I miss the motion of eating more!
  11. I just made it home. The pain is bearable. I found out that cold liquid makes my stomach hurt. It feels better when I drink hot or warm liquids. Other than that everything is fine. I'll update more when I rest up.
  12. I just made it home.
  13. I'm officially sleeved!! I'm feeling okay. My back just hurts really bad, so I get to get up n take a walk soon and hopefully that will help some.
  14. I'm admitted and now just playing the waiting game. I'm tired and nervous. My fiance is here to support me so I know I'll be just fine. I'll update as soon as I'm able. Wish me luck!
  15. I have to be at the hospital and checked in by 745 tomorrow. I'm really nervous but trying to keep my mind occupied. About the multivitamins, I was told I could just take Flinstones Complete because they r chewable. Otherwise I know they have gummies too!!
  16. I started my 2 days of clears today. I'm already hungry!! I know it's just my head messing with me but AHHHH!! I can do this! After today is one more day and off to the OR I go...

  18. My sleeve date is the 17th. I too am very nervous. I've had 3 c-sections and my gallbladder removed so I just keep telling myself its gonna be okay. I guess another thing that really makes me nervous is the pain and if I will have any complications. I only have to do 2 days of a clear liquid diet....today and tomorrow are my last days with food for a few weeks. I'm fine with this! I've lost 30 lbs since starting my journey and looking forward to start the summer off much healthier :-)
  19. That's great news! Its almost my date n I hope its not too bad postop. Congrats!
  20. Hi! Its good to hear your doing so great postop. My surgery date is April 17th. I wish you well!!
