    Seasoned Sleevers...HELP!

Hey!! How many calories are you eating per day??? I am also struggling. I had my surgery 3/12. Lost 55 lbs in first 6 months, but then CRASH!! nothing. I have been able to hold my own, but have been gaining weight, about 5 lbs in the last 2 weeks!! SO FRUSTRATING. I think we need to look at your food intake first and foremost. Are you getting enough Protein?? My plan was about 75 grams of protein per day. Are you taking Vitamins?? How many ounces of Water are you getting per day?? Please let me know and maybe we can figure this out together!!! Good luck and God Bless:) Pam

    Struggling with a Plateau

Thank you VictoryinJesus53!!! This is an answer for me!! I have not gotten much help from the dietician or the nurse at the hospital. Just from what I have read on this website and your suggestion - I am hoping I may have an answer!! God Bless You!!

    Struggling with a Plateau

I had my VSG 3/1/12. At first I did great. I lost 50lbs in 6 months. Since then, I haven't been able to lose anything. I also have not gained, so that is something. I went from eating 900 calls per day to 1200 overnight because I noticed on my Dr.s plan I was supposed to beat 1200. Well, since then.....nothing. I have went down to 1000 cal per day hoping this would help.....nothing. I am at my wits end. ANYBODY HAVE ANY THOUGHTS PLEASE???????
  4. Your doc is the best place to go for this problem. I have had low blood pressure, but I was on BP meds. Although my bp was controlled, my doc had to cut down my dosage. Sounds like you have done fantastic since your surgery!! That is amazing since September!! I had my surgery on March 1 and I am kind of stalling a little bit. I have lost 36 lbs so far. Happy about it but scared of not losing!!

    Pre-Op Liquid Diet...

I started my pre-op liquid diet February 22 and am scheduled for surgery March 1, 2012. I was so apprehensive going into it. The first day was heck. After that, I seem to have more energy already and have since lost over 5lbs. I have not been able to move that scale in a downward direction for the past 6 months!! If I could have the surgery tomorrow, I would. This weekend was very tough, especially on Sunday. I had to send my hubbie and daughter to church alone and out to dinner. That hurt not being able to be with them. After my personal "pity-party", I sucked it up and moved on. I am hoping that my sacrificing now will pay off with many many days added to my life which might otherwise be shortened from obesity. Looking forward to March 1:) God Bless all of you who are going through the same trial that I am.
