I will be 6weeks post op on Friday, this weekend is our usual "take the kids kayaking trip". Do you think its too soon? Its an all day 10 mile trip. I really want to go, but then I think 10 miles is a looong way...

I am having left side pain about twice a week. And it hurts! I wonder if I put the wrap back on, will it help?

And I have lost 30 pounds:) I have had no nausea at all, but I do one uncomfortable incision:( also my doctor has me in full liquids for 3 weeks to ensure my stomach heals and there are no complications. My biggest challenge is this mid morning slump I get? Afternoon I pick back up but between 11-2 I could sleep!?

Update: 4 days post op and what a difference 24 hrs makes! I feel so much better than yesterday. My sister felt better yesterday than today, but she is really wanting to move to full liquids..when did everybody start this phase?

I'm 4 days post op and haven't touched the scale! I was pumped so full of Iv fluids I figure I'll wait til my md check up. Today is also the first day I've felt like doing anything..

We are sharing a room and will be staying until tomorrow. Gas pain is awful! But everything seems to be going well.

Hey! This is the sister! We are on our way to the hospital now.all I can say is we are both a bundle of nerves right now!! My sister and I are 18 months apart and live next door to each other so doing this together was a no brainer. Please keep us in your prayers!

I am in the same boat! I am on day 9 of liquids and PMS is kicking in for me!! I want a double stuff Oreo!!weekends are the worst cuz I am home and my kids have snacks everywhere...Yesterday was a meltdown for me,( I ate a piece of boston butt) but today I am determined to see this thru!! Friday is my day and we can do this!! Oh, I've lost 7 pounds ????. Good luck!

I am doing the 3month insurance wait right now but have a few questions. My BMI is 40 (exactly 100lbs overweight for insurance to pay.) My question is does anyone with a similar BMI have lots of loose skin? also, how long did you take off work?
