  1. I have drank coffee since 1 week out. Not a lot, just a cup on those days when my energy level was so low I couldn't function. I have had NO issues at all...in fact on those days that I do have a cup it helps move my bowels along and the next day I have a loss....
  2. They have a carb smart made by dreyers...and blue bunny makes sweet freedom
  3. All you can do is your best. If you want to lose 100% of the excess weight then you will. But you HAVE to want to! My dr says that there is NO reason to not lose all of my weight. I have bad days where I want to drink soda and eat candy...but I push through...and drink more water and eat a bit more protein. Walking and doing more physical activities really help with losing more...just have to stay focused on YOUR goal...which should be getting healthier. If I lost 60% of my excess weight that would mean I would lose 177lbs...I would be MORE than HAPPY with that! BUT..I would be even happier to lose it all!
  4. i just tell them my overall loss....to me it doesn't matter what I lost before the surgery only what the total is at this point!
  5. I use the Degree Clinical Strength because I felt like my old degree just wasn't doing enough! Now I enjoy raising my arms because it smells so good. lol. I know...im a little odd!
  6. I have the same NSV! I actually took a picture of it and sent it to my 2 best friends because I was so happy about it!
  7. Current weight: 406.8 Down: 2.8 22.2 more to go!
  8. RIGHT! I am so annoyed with it! I am going to replace the batteries...maybe that will help? lol. I don't want to wait to know what the doctor's scale says because it will be later in the morning, I will be fully clothed so I KNOW it will be more than my actual weight!
  9. So I got on my scale this morning and it said 396.8..I was a little confused because that would mean 10 pounds in a week...hard to believe..so I got off, let it reset and the got back on...then it said 398.0..still not trusting it I repeated the get off, reset, get back on...4 more times...never getting the same number twice. So I settled for the highest number that appeared of 400.8...but secretly I am hoping that the 396.8 is right! I so want to be below 400! I am scheduled for my 6 week followup tomorrow and his 6 week goal for me was 408 which I passed last week! My personal 6 week goal was 40-50 lbs lost which if my scale was right this morning means I met my goal! Any advice??
  10. I had the same issue, my doc prescribed me some after my friend gave me one of hers. I had to do something...the scale kept going up and up and I was MISERABLE.
  11. yes, and it is SUPER GOOD!! Like a chocolate covered strawberry.
  12. I drink them too! Mainly on days when the thought of eating makes me suck to my tummy. They are really good...I add things like fruit and ice sometimes for a thicker shake consistency.
  13. It is VERY hard for me to believe that when I get on the scale now the dreaded 441 lbs doesn't appear...everyday it is a different number, lower than the day before! I am LOVING my sleeve and my only regret is I didn't do this sooner! As of this morning I was down 33.2 lbs! My 6 week follow up is next saturday and I would love to be down a full 40 lbs by then!
  14. I want in!!! Start weight: 409.6 Current weight: 409.6 Memorial Day goal: 385 I know..almost 25 lbs..but with my high body weight and it still being pretty early in my journey I think I can do it!
  15. This is normal. It is what we call sliming. I had it a few times..when I drank too much or too fast...or when I tried a certain food that my tummy wasn't really ready for yet.
  16. I keep looking at my wrists in total amazement that you can actually see the definition of bones! Same thing for my feet! I have ankle bones!!! Also, I have discovered that I have a butt bone! I was sitting in a chair last night (hard plastic one) and my butt started hurting..I thought maybe I was sitting on something so I stood up...nothing was there...then after sitting down for a bit more it started hurting again..then I realized..holy crap...my butt has less padding on it...SO HAPPY I DID THIS! (even if I get annoyed that the scale isn't moving at the rate I want it to)
  17. I have wrist bones! Granted they are still covered with fat but they are starting to show! and I can almost wrap my fingers around my wrist!!!!!
  18. I had this same issue during weeks 2 and 3...I started drinking cranberry juice mixed with a little water (to cut the bitter taste) and also started taking a Fluid pill every other day and the water weight has come off and is staying off. Within the first 2 days of this regimen I dropped 9 lbs. My surgeon also said that I should be eating upwards of 1200 calories (which I can never do) but on the days that I get in more than 800 calories I wake up with a serious loss the next day. Maybe you should try increasing your calories for a few days and see if that helps.
  19. DR ALANIS...love that man!
  20. Me being the snarky person that I am would probably say a little zinger back at them everytime they stuck their nose in.. I would tell "petite pudgy" that you can eat off the same container for DAYS and be more than happy you aren't eating all those CARBS and making yourself feel all sluggish.. You should have told "skinny potbelly"...that yes...you plan on ONLY eating 1 ice cream sandwich but that honestly you probably wouldn't get down half before you would be stuffed so you could give the left over to her if she would like. As for "sneaky vegan"..I would have said...I am SURE I do not have any complications...in fact I have NEVER felt better in my life...but thank you for your concern...then point out that her beef gravy smells divine! That's just me though...cause judgemental people piss me off!
  21. Mine didn't specify...but I have a little on those days that I need to kick start my brain...
  22. I totally just walked past a full length glass door and thought...wow...I really do look smaller...and I actually have the desire to do my hair in the mornings and put on makeup. I work for a small company so looking good hasn't always been a top priority for me...but suddenly as my body changes...I actually want to look good...LOVE MY SLEEVE! Best thing I ever did for myself!
  23. According to my scale when I was almost 3 weeks out I gained 4 pounds...then a friend pointed out that I looked "puffy" and gave me a fluid pill. Since I was SO used to seeing myself at 441 lbs it didn't register that I was smaller and was "puffy". I took the pill that day and the next morning those 4 lbs plus 5 more were gone.
  24. Im with Chell...please tell!!!! I am 1 month out today as well!
  25. the ones I found are a brand called Life Choice...seriously...they are super good!
