  1. you won't lose inches until you body adjusts. You're still just 3 weeks out and you're about to hit probably your first stall. I had a stall at week 3 or 4 and lost two pant sizes in two weeks but no pounds. Its coming so don't worry
  2. well mushrooms aren't bad for you in general but they don't hold much of a nutritional punch. And don't cook them in butter which is bad for the diet.
  3. its an abdomen drain with a tube that drains excess Fluid after surgery into a ball dangling by your side. Youtube it....JP Drain
  4. If I do have a carb its a non sugar carb (wheat thins). I still don't eat bread cause in my mind I know its just taking up space that Protein should be in. My Post Op manual they gave me said to keep the carb servings to less than 20 grams per serving. I'm prob keeping it below 50 grams or less per day...and thats only from the wheat thins (the non sugar carb). Totally addicting and the sleeve loves them..and comes in dif flavors
  5. maybe add some greek yogurt to the blender? (like an ice cream replacement if you were making a milkshake)?
  6. ha now all these comments should have scared you to death by now...
  7. for me, if I don't buy them and have them around me..then I won't consume them. No carb is the best way to maximize the weight loss. No sugar, no processed white flour, and no carbonated beverages. If write down your weight on a calender on the same day each week, you'll see the benefit of having a healthy week. This makes me want to turn in a better number week after week. Monday's are my "log" days on my wall calendar. Turned out to be a great motovator
  8. Low carb all the way! no sugar, no white flour, no soda, no carbonation. I've lost 100 pounds now in under 4 months from it.
  9. truth be told..it will take your breath away. I just had a face of shock when they did it....2 mins later I was fine
  10. could be blood pressure going to a normal state
  11. not possible to bust a staple. You would have to be so full to the point of crippling pain before that even could happen. Liquids pass on through. You're fine
  12. That could be because thats a major gas producing food
  13. sugar free lifesavers and other sugar free candies! I used them at that stage and I still have them
  14. Sounds like the incisions under the skin in the abdomen wall isn't healed yet. Just need to keep that in mind for a few more weeks. It does all go away...and pretty fast
  15. the taste for sugar changed for me..mainly cause I cut it out of my diet. Sweet things turn me off now...which is actually a great thing
  16. Its more of eating till you feel full of the RIGHT food choices.....this will ensure you stay within calorie goals. Personally, I would have stuck to the chicken and shrimp only. Cake is a gateway ...evil food
  17. there are lean meat items I still have now post op. Things like chicken terryaki, sushi, grilled fish, shrimp, and crab I'm still having. Mind you I avoid battered and fried versions of that. Also, I used to be a big Lo Mein fan, now the noodles swell up in the tummy and they make me full uncomfortable...so better watch out for the noodles!
  18. This sounds similar to me. I was 390 when I started. How tall are you? Age? if you don't mind telling.
  19. Any other guys out there finding out you can eat and eat things without issue BUT you're still losing weight? Anyone else doing no carb like me? I'm living off of meat, wheat thins, cashews, and right now I"m munching on some BBQ Pork skins (who knew they were high in Protein, low fat, low cal?) I never had any issues with moving back into solid foods after being sleeved Jan 12th. I probably advanced much more quickly than what I was suppose to but I never had any pains or food intolerance's. Hell I can drink and eat together to some degree and can chug a bit still. Maybe I'm not mentally realizing that even though I'm eating more frequently, the quantity and the food choice is totally different than pre op? Anyone else noticing this? I'm still losing on average of 5 pounds a week like this and I'm right at 100 pounds lost since Jan. W
  20. The lawyer would collect fees from a winning verdict. Sometimes just the threat of a lawsuit will fix the situation..
  21. The Insurance company would be the primary party to sue since they led you to believe you were approved, sent you through the 6 months of hoops and wasted your time. Be sure to pull all documents you've received showing anything that showed approval or hint of approval.
  22. Yea you can still do SOME cardio..but it doesn't have to be your primary. I still run on a tredmill for 30 mins THEN lift weights. Its my warm up
