  2. I'm 27--getting old! But I am six months out. So, me too! Message me if you want to!
  3. THANK YOU guys for the support!
  4. Today is six months from surgery. I started at 234.5 pounds and, including pre-op weightloss (beginning January 3), have now lost 57.3 lbs. I feel like I should have done more!! I don't want to waste this and I expected to be proud and happy today, but now I am just sort of freaked out. Am I on the right track? HELP!

  6. I've had it too--any time your body is burning a lot of fuel it can cause bad breath!
  7. I had a sip or two of wine about 6 weeks post sleeve, and a full drink (vodka cranberry) about 3 months post-sleeve, but I am not much of a drinker!
  8. I CAN eat salad and could starting about 2 months post-op, but I don't, because it makes me feel so full, and then because it is low in calories, I can't fit in enough cals later in the day. I eat a LOT of raw veggies, though, which don't bother me. The lettuce is the issue!
  9. Yay, congrats! That is fantastic!
  10. I just turned 27, and am four months out from surgery today. I think you'll be able to get back to work as you plan pretty well, especially if your job isn't very physical, assuming they do laproscopic surgery. I think we are so lucky to have this tool now...our skin will bounce back more easily, and we'll have so many good years ahead of us. I'm excited for us!
  11. oh my gosh, give the scale a break! I definitely do the same thing and I end up obsessing a lot, but different women carry different amounts of water weight at all different times. Don't worry--you're doing fantastically, clearly.
  12. Yup, I had been a 7 and then up as high as an 8 when i gained a lot of weight. Back to a 7 now!

  14. Oh WOW I am totally looking forward to that one. I have always had big calves, so that would be amazing. I've never been able to wear boots, and I am a Texas transplant so I WANT SOME. YAY for you!
  15. Your body is probably experiencing the stall that a lot of people get at 2-3 weeks. Mine lasted about 10 days, some people's as much as six weeks. This is normal and ok, really. Make sure you're eating several times a day, and eat Protein first--vary your foods and keep walking! Most of all, be patient. It is going to happen. The stall right after you start is weird, but normal, I promise. Also, remember, you might have less to lose (or a different metabolism, or be a different age) from many you're seeing here, so you can't always directly compare. Chin up! You're doing great.
