  1. I'm not patient either. So when I found out there was no 6 mth diet I was soooo excited! Lol...
  2. I went to my first consultation week before last and have an appt tomorrow morning with the NUT. I have no idea exactly what process I will have to go through. Originally I was told I might have to do the diet as my ins might require it but I got on the phone after my first appt and found out it isn't required. So I am anxious and excited to find out what steps are needed by my surgeon before they will submit me for approval. I will be finding out tomorrow hopefully!
  3. @urban...what all have u had to do so far?

  8. @ topgun...you are exactly right. I have a friend who had lap band and I recently asked her how quick she was able to have surgery starting from her first consult. She didn't have to do the 6 mth diet either...she said 1 mth...WOW....and then hearing others talk about how long their process is. Everyone IS different. I am hoping to get a clear idea of what my process will be like on Monday when I see my NUT and the surgeons insurance clerk for the first time...
  9. I am driving everyone I know NUTS talking non-stop about my journey towards getting sleeved....I am especially annoying my teenage daughter...and I DON'T CARE...LOL
  10. I am starting that stage as well...I want it to hurry hurry hurry!!!

  15. I want to hurry this up and get surgery already!!! Wwwhhhhhaaaaaa!!!!
  16. @Welittle1...I have just started the process as well. I went to my first consultation last week, and have the first appt with the nutritionist Monday March 5th. I don't have to do the 6 mth diet so I am also wondering what the next step will be after Monday. I am also extremely anxious and want to speed up the process so I know exactly how you feel! I can tell u this about the loose skin. About 10 yrs ago I had my 3rd baby and then became determined to get thin after having her. I had become increasingly over weight even before the pregnancy. And didn't have near as much weight to lose as I do now. But I already had a loose tummy pouch from my 1st child. And I thought if I lost all the weight it would go away and I was very wrong...I got down from a size 14-16 to an 8 and worked out with a personal trainor and found myself very disappointed about the stomach and underneath my arms were very loose and jiggly too. I believe that is part of the reason that I started packing on the pounds again and quit caring. Why bother ya know? Well now I am older and know better...come on loose skin and jiggles!!! Whatever will be will be. I will be healthy and thinner and will figure out the rest later. What I wouldn't give to go back in time and tell myself how little the jiggle really matters!! I hope this helps!
  17. Wow that's fast! Congrats! Thank u Jesus!!!
  18. Congrats!! How long did it take once they submitted?
  19. Welittle1...that would be hard. Really hard. But that just means when u get thru it u can walk around like a peacock. Cause that just makes u that much more brave and accomplished and I know u can do it!!!
  20. Congrats and good wishes to you all and keep me posted!!!
  21. A point where food doesn't matter sounds like heaven. I so look forward to that day!!
  22. Lol...I am sure I'll be going thru the same thing...I am addicted to caffeine...and I love carbs..kicking of either habit gives u headaches...so both mixed with not eating mixed with PMSing means I will feel sooooo bad for my hubby and kids...hehehehhe...
  23. We are one in the same...I recently became a stay at home mom, and have started gaining slowly again because of way too much free time...that mixed with my love of food is gonna make the 2 weeks rough on me as well but I will just keep envisioning surgery and weight loss and say LOTS of prayers and that's my plan for making it through...LOL
