  1. They wanted my entire OOP and deductible up front so I saved that much and have that to pay so as long as they will let us make payments on my husbands amount due we will be fine...
  2. I am scheduled for surgery May 15th. I have saved my OOP and what's left of my deductible. That's what the hosp will want me to pay to do the surgery. Here is a question though. My husband recently got sick and ended up in the hospital for 5 days. We should be getting a bill for that any day now. Any idea whether the hosp will want me to pay that bill before I can have surgery? I know we can't afford both totals at the same time.
  3. @beachlover...its been sent...@d1nonly, I am not surprised as no 2 surgeons do things the same way...
  4. Ur both bery welcome. What's the name of Dr Alvarez book? I am currently reading "The idiots guide to eating well after weight loss surgery" and I really like it because it has a whole bunch of recipes in the back! And appendix references that are full of websites and books and cd's and dvd's that are recommended for us after surgery!

  12. I am only telling those I know won't have anything but support to offer...the "noseys" don't deserve to know what goes on with me no matter how big or small so I would have to say I am very picky about who I am telling also...

  14. I was just confused because I am picturing 6 small containers of pudding for 18 bucks? When you say generous cans how long does the 1 can last u?
  15. Whey is what you are supposed to buy. Its protein that is best for us after surgery. I use GNC Lean 25...25 g protein in each serving. I have vanilla and mixed berry and they are both great...GNC also has those cool mixing cups too...m
  16. Hunny we are all pulling our hair out together...LOL
  17. Yes lots of prayers. I am emotionally exhausted! Not sleeping well at night, ready for "normal" again...mundane sounds awesome right about now....hehhehehe
  18. @Committed...I just want it over with BECAUSE, every since I got approved the sky has fallen...LOL...tons of stuff going wrong every which way. Things we have had to maneuver thru to keep my date...so it being further away leaves room for more to go wrong! And I can't take anymore!! LOL

  21. Do they give you morphine at any point? I am hoping to talk my surgeon in to giving me something else if that's the case. When I had gall bladder surgery they gave me morphine and it made me sooooo sick. I threw up repeatedly. And that was NOT fun after having just had surgery!
  22. My ten yr old daughter is just the same. Very emotional. I have been telling her what's happening since my first consult. She was very worried at first but I answer any and all of her questions and concerns and we talk about it frequently so, she is fine now...surgery May 8th...

  24. I haven't had surgery yet. But I have a friend who did. And she just people "cept me of course" that she had gallbladder surgery and after being on the soft diet so long, her appetite changed and she couldn't eat as much nor can she tolerate greasy fatty foods...and nobody has ever thought to question her again except to tell her how good she looks!!
