  2. Let me add that I am on the liquid diet..day 4....feeling very very hungry!!
  3. Ok, sitting here in O'Reilly Auto Parts accompanying my hubby to get a battery for my truck...and he parks down wind of the Whataburger next door...it does NOT help when he does that!! Sleevers, pre and post!!! Name some things that don't help you when others do them in your presence!! Come on let's vent a little!!
  4. Hello Cinema!! I am your sleeve sister! May 15th here too...and I, too, feel like a junkie who has given up her drug of choice. This pre op diet has put doubts in my mind that I quickly shrug off...because we can do this!! And life on the other side of surgery is gonna be awesome!!
  5. This liquid diet ain't no joke!!!
  6. Shelleyrn...I am with ya!!!
  7. Surely u can take some vitamin C??? I started taking it the first sign of sickness round here and I haven't gotten sick yet!
  8. I would kill for some right now!! LOL, on day 3 of the liquid HELL...hehehhehe
  9. Ellyana I understand completely...Its good to have people to vent to...it seems to make things better when I vent! Vent away!!
  10. 19 lbs!! I sure hope I lose like that!! That's awesome! Way to go!
  11. Oh!!! I love it and congrats!!
  12. I am pre sleeve but I have heard egg drop soup is a good source of protein and is very filling...I love it regularly...I don't know if u like egg drop soup but if ur willing, give it a try!
  13. Ok, don't call me stupid but what is NSV?
  14. I am sorry Dawn...I am having headaches too...3 days in on the liquid diet...it stinks but thank God its not migraines...I used to have those and they were horrid. If you can, rest as much as u are able, keep chugging water, and heating pads used to help mine...I am sending good vibes your way!
  15. I was told tylenol was ok...I am sorry to hear that! I am one week away with three people in my house that have colds...so I am praying I don't get it too!!
  16. @kiki...my daughter has a friend that is early twenties...she was sleeved then got pregnant soon after...ate every no no...did everything wrong...after baby went back to eating all wrong...and is now 300 something again...she heard I was getting sleeved and wanted to tell me her story. She feels the sleeve would've been an awesome tool had she used it instead of misusing it...she also ate till she was sick...till she felt the sleeve wasn't really working anymore. Her story is rare but true.
  17. I eat for the same reasons...mostly emotional stuff...food is my friend. This liquid diet has forced me to control myself. And I am glad for it...I have been making small changes the last few mths getting ready for surgery and the small changes have helped...so I intend to keep doing that! The funny thing about preparing for this surgery and after is that whatever problems you had with food that you were ignoring before now jump out at you screaming, refusing to be ignored anymore...so you can either address them...or be friends with them and hurt your sleeve and yourself. I am choosing A!!!
