Sick And Less Than A Week To Surgery

Hello everyone,

I am sick today, sore throat and I feel like I am going to pass out. I can not take aspirin, as I am less than a week away from surgery. Any suggestions for medicine?

I was told tylenol was ok...I am sorry to hear that! I am one week away with three people in my house that have colds...so I am praying I don't get it too!!

I can't take any "medicine" now & I'm a week pre-op too - I use Airborne when I'm feeling icky. I've actually used Airborne a few times while on the pre-op diet now just to boost my vitamin levels & make sure I don't get sick now! Good luck!!! Also make sure to get plenty of fluids (although you're probably already doing that)!

We got a whole list of meds not to take before surgery, but Tylenol was not on the list. Mostly its meds that affect blood clotting or your blood pressure that are not recommended. I would take the Tylenol.
