  1. What you are feeling is normal and I had most of these same problems. It does get better. Remember to walk walk walk. It works wonders. Good luck!
  2. Great news! Thanks for sharing...
  3. Mine is on my left side. I was banded 2/3/12.
  4. You should be sipping all through out the day. Good luck and congrats!
  5. Welcome and congratulations on a new you!!
  6. Here is another reason not to drink while eating. If you don't chew your food well and something gets stuck the first thing you will do is grab a drink. This will only make it worse because. I have not experienced this but this is what my doctor told me. It was difficult at first but I just don't bring a drink to the table anymore.
  7. Are you drinking plenty of water? If so I would call your doctor. Good Luck!!
  8. I had my first fill today. I didn't know what to expect but It wasn't bad at all. I also get to update my ticker!! So happy...
  9. Couple of questions: Are you eating slowly and chewing your food well? Are you eating your protein first?
  10. Make sure you tell them you are nauseated. They will give you something. This happened to me and they put something in my IV and the feeling went away immediately.
  11. Congrats and good luck! I am in Dallas.
  12. It is totally normal to feel anxious. I think everyone does. My appoinment was scheduled first thing in the morning and I was called back within minutes and before you know it you are getting your cocktail and then waking up. You will be fine just keep yourself busy and not ponder on it too much. It it worth! Good luck!!
  13. Wow! I know you are super excited and I can't wait to be there with you!
  14. Congrats! Good luck on your journey and a new YOU!!
  15. Congrats!! Love reading your update!
  16. Tomorrow I will be going to the fill station. Can't wait to see what they have to say. I didn't have a fill at my first appointment so it should be interesting. Also can't wait to update my ticker with my new weight loss. Hope everyone has a great week!
  17. I'm back from vacation! I had a great time and I did pretty well while away from home. I have a fill appointment tomorrow so I'll see just how well I did.
  18. My SO was very supportive and nervous at the beginning. Just be honest and let your SO know exactly what you are feeling.
  19. My first mashed potatoes were awesome! Our diets sound pretty much the same with the cream soup and yogurt. I added avocados because they were just as awesome as the potatoes. You can also eat baby food. Also so you don't eat too fast put your fork down for a least a minute before you take another bite. Good luck moving forward!
  20. I don't think you are eating to much. I myself do not any sort of bread so no tortilla and I don't not eat any chips. I only eat 3 meals a day and nothing else except for Protein shakes. I have only been banded for 6 weeks as of today and have lost about 28lbs. Do you exercise?
  21. it is normal. My doctor told me over and over sip sip sip sip... I have always been a heavy water drinker and use to gulp it down. It is a mental thing I also think as soon as I pick up the water, sip sip sip. It will get easier hey you are only 3 days post op.
  22. I focused more on just sipping all day and not forcing myself. I did my best and like you said everyong is different. Just take your time and take small sips and what a minute or two before taking another sip. You will find what works best for you. Good luck to you!!
  23. Yes. How long have you been post op?
  24. You can do it! I know it is hard and we have all been there. Keep your mind busy and you will get past it!
  25. I will be six weeks postop tomorrow. He didn't say anything about travel. I guess it would depend on how you are feeling when you drive. I had a really hard time after surgery driving for almost two weeks. It doens't bother me anymore.
