  1. Hey love, I do have thin hair and I am on alot of medicine, I truly didn't no more than usually. I have started using this new type hair shampoo it is like the Wen product you see all over late commercials but I get it at Sally's and it has seemed to help quite a bit. The Biotin now that rings a bell and I will say no but I do get it in my shakes and multiple Vitamins. I forgot what is Biotin for, I do remember seeing that somewhere. The episodes of being stuck, in the beginning they were scary just because you are not use to it and will take you by surprise. Chew Chew Chew and eat slow, because if you don't your body will let you know. Don't be afraid it is not that bad, sometimes if I feel it coming on, I just stop and breath. Sometimes if you stand up it helps. Alot times if I can get a light burp, it seems to come from the other side of the band it will adjust and move what is blocking hole. Too funny never had to explain it. First time it happens might panic you, and if it has to come up it is usually just clear. Sometimes it all had to come up though, but try hard not to do that to much because possible slippage of your pain. Don't worry about that now though you are a few months down the road from that. You'll get home from hospital and think that was nothing, but when you get home you are slowly modifying the way eat and live. Don't be disappointed first month or so not much different but slowly you will have fills and that's where you will see unbelieveable positive changes. You have a new Birthday as I tell my family! Honestly I do not feel deprived at all! I mean through my two years tried bread and found that doesn't work real well. Love pizza and will get thin crust, I use to eat a large Dominos by myself one sitting. Well now I am lucky to even get one thin crust piece down, one reason is it just gets clogged. So you learn this and honestly when you have this problem you don't want it anymore. Steak not a good idea!! I honestly have truly lived on chili, but that is me I am a women of habit. You know truly everyone is different some people can eat things I can't and vice versa. It is all learning your body, lapband, etc. Trust me, you are going to do fantastic!! You are the one driving the boat as they say, and it is all at your own pace. .I have gone Thanksgiving and holidays and have been able to try alittle bit of everything. You will See! Good Luck! Sweetie Don't worry you will do great. In the beginning not any major adjustments because you have to heal. I really had no pain. God Bless!
  2. Dang you are doing fantastic! You Go Girl!
  3. You are going to do fantastic, do not be nervous. Such an easy surgery, I had no major pain. Good Luck Sweetie!
  4. Wow that is fantastic!! I am working on getting back on track! It is amazing how fast it drops, but I have been at a stand still for a year, I know what I am doing wrong though, I am working out the kinks for this new Spring body!
  5. Amen! Yelp I remember that menu... somehow it passes.. stick to the menu and schedule you will do fantastic!
  6. Honestly everyone is different they just stretch it a bit with this menu ... It is no big deal.. but of course that is me talking 2 years out.. don't let this schedule worry you.. you will fiqure out a routine for the next 6 weeks after surgery.. You will do great! Good Luck!
  7. How many sleep days now? trust me surgery is truly nothing! Good luck!
  8. Caramel OMG I Love It and so remember the thought What the Hell was I thinking!! Those thoughts go away when the pounds start dropping. I am over 2 yrs out and trying to get back on course. Love you post!! Keep on walkin'
  9. There are so many fantastic recipes, but when I find one I love I do that till I'm sick of it. Now if these protein tastin' parties could just fiqure one with rum for the weekends I would be set! LOL
  10. See if you stick to the chocolate shake you are limited. Plus I found so many that tasted so chemical. The one I drink is really good, check it out!! Go to the coffee aisle and get some of those syrups sugarfree, OMG I think I could drink the caramel by itself. LOL If you want chocolate you can do it with the sugarfree instant cocoa.
  11. I have tried them all, I have found one I am truly wild about, taste list sweet cream (cake batter) and I know 100's of recipes. I joined this site that promotes it, but also gives you support, recipes, etc.. Check my web page, the4y are truly delicious! It is a shake that taste good alone yet you can still doctor it up., I use decaf instant coffee, caramel sugarfree syrup (coffee aisle) powder cocoa, almond milk or skim, 2 scopps of my powder and OMG taste like you just left starbuck's. I love this site, and it gives you options of getting it free. We have protein tasting parties kind of like the old tupperware, and you learn so much. Really getting popular, but you need to find a shake you truly enjoy!
  12. I hate to say this but even after losing alot of the weight I still feel that fat person in my head. I guess "I Got Issues" LOL
  13. Too Funny Just said the same thing further down the page, I guess I should have read on..
  14. NJ When I get sick, if I do It is usually the clear slime, which my nurse said that is the Fluid around stomach wall. Another thing I do constantly is lightly belch, almost like an air pocket in a sink. Have you been getting any nutrition from your Protein Shakes, because what you are living on as we know is not good. And if your appt isn't till 13th, that's not good! Make youself a good shake, and sip it slowly.I know so many recipes. I lived on sugar for a year and it was not a good thing. Why on earth does sugar like Girlscout cookies good down so easily!! I would eat them till I was deathly ill.Missing my girlscout cookies thus far this year!! LOL
  15. I do remember shoulder pain but I always have shoulder pain from a neck injury. LOL
  16. Wow Jenny have you called your doctor I just don't remember the pain lasting that long. I mean it was tender at the port site but that was it.
  17. Georgia, What an idea Thanks for sharing!!!
  18. With me one day chicken salad will be fine next day it won't. I can some days eat salads. I love that new ginger dressing. I usually have more trouble with chicken then lettuce. I take alot of meds from a broken neck injury, so I think I sometimes get blockage from my pills. If you concentrate on small bites and chew chew chew... you would probably be fine. For me each day is different, one thing will be fine one day and Not the next. If something gets stuck just remain calm, it will pass.. not really a big deal so don't let it scare you. I tried bread because it is one of my major weaknesses, but you soon learn what you can and cannot eat and I will tell you firsthand you can't eat bread. One thing that amazes me though chips & salsa anytime flies through. I probably shouldn't have shared that. LOL
  19. What use to bother me was I always use to flush my food with a beverage, that habit was hard to break. If you feel like something stuck you want to grab a fluid or water, but this is no longer an option. Makes it worse. All & all being over 2 years out it is the most rewarding journey I have ever been on. This past year Thank God I didn't gain, but didn't lose either with my sugar bingeing. Spring always gets me motivated so these last 40 pounds have been the hardest of any of it, But hopefully I am back on horse and giving these last 40 a true push.
  20. As I mentioned before I have had band for over two years and I just started using a new protein powder that I absolutely love, I have tried them all!.before that I was just burnt out on all of them, but this protein powder comes with added flavor pouches that you can add that also adds nutrients. I have found sticking with a good tasting simple protein powder that taste good alone opens the door to so many options and numerous recipes. I know 100's of recipes, and they are awsome and so simple!! My base protein powder truly taste like sweet cream (some say cake batter) <1 gr sugar. When I got it I purchased powder cocoa, liquid sugarfree caramel coffee syrup (tons of different flavors), instant decaf coffee (stay away from caffeine it promotes hunger and cravings), 2 scoops of my sweet cream protein powder and alittle almond silk or skim milk and voila' I feel like I just left Starbuck's!! It is fantastic and got me hopefully back on track!! I have been on a sugar binge for the past year and it has helped with that because my shakes are more like Desserts. They have so many recipes but when I find a recipe I like I usually stick with that till I'm sick of it. We have shake tasting parties here in Ky (all areas included) at different peoples houses so I'm learning so many new tricks and recipes to make my life easier. I haven't tried it but another way to get protein intake is put in oatmeal, I haven't tried that I like my shake to much but they say it is delicious. Good Luck To All!!
  21. Mine doesn't have collegen... I think I remember from a meetinf it can cuase cancer let me know if I'm wrong but the shake I love doesn't have it.
