I had my surgery done on May 22. Started my Pre Op liquids on May 17 and I am now down 15 pounds so far. I still have some swelling but it is starting to go down. I have my first fill on June 28. Can't wait to see the weight start coming off. Hope everyone else is doing great.

Thanks azhoselady. I'm sure everything will be great. Just can't wait to get on the road to recovery and so looking forward to vacation and being able to walk and enjoy myself.

Well, tomorrow is my surgery day. A little nervous but also excited. Reading everyone's comments and such has helped me in asking the right questions to my doctor and feeling a little more comfortable as to what I'm going to be going through. I have been on the liquid diet for six days now and have already lost 8 pounds. Just hope all goes well. Congrats to all that has been banded and hope things goes well for all of you.

Mrs. Popeye I'm so glad your surgery went so well and the idea of the bandages is from a very caring person who really loves their job.....Always nice to know that there are people who still care and you were in those caring hands during your surgery. Lilbelly then Lap Band sisters we will be and we'll go through this together!!!!! So excited to have someone to go through this with me.

Glad your surgery went better than expected Nita and you are doing good. I know when I had my gall bladder removed last year that walking around and moving really helped with that so I plan on doing the same with this surgery. I'm a little hard to stick too, my veins are small and want to roll so it gets a little tricky catching one but they always seem to manage although sometimes I look like a human pin cushion. Its just something I have gotten used to.

Hi everyone, My name is Kathy and I'm a newbie to this site but just received word this a.m. (5/15/12) that my surgery is scheduled for May 22. I start my liquid diet tomorrow. I'm so ready. My cousin had lapband done a year ago in April so she has been a big help to me but would really appreciate words of encouragement and support through this from some others and will offer the same especially since we all have the same goals for weight loss.
