  1. Frozen meal ideas for family during my post op? I'm looking for family meal ideas. Do you have some suggestions... things you've done or will do? Maybe even a favorite food planning/healthy recipe website. I want food dishes that i can prepare ahead of time and freeze. So all my kids need to do is throw it in the oven, and make a side salad or something. Help!
  2. So, whatcha thinking... next year Batman, Ironman, or He-man?! I say create your own "Brawny Band-man!"
  3. Oh, heaven yes!! I like black and brown just fine, but give me MORE COLOR and LESS UGLY PATTERNS to choose from.
  4. Sleeveless anything!!! I look forward to that clothing victory most of all! I've never stopped wearing shorts but it would be great to wear them and not feel self conscious about the size of my calves. I'm doubtful in my ability to pull off wearing a bikini, but there are plenty of cute one-piece suits that I wouldn't mind rocking. Ha. In fact, ill just be really happy when I can stop worrying and START LIVING again. Woo boo.
  5. Hot diggity!! Best of luck!
  6. I share your fears! For me, lack of money has been a very real threat throughout this entire process (I do not have insurance), and the added expense of a tummy tuck is one more obstacle that I have no idea how to tackle. But, the weight has got to go... and I have to hold on to the faith/belief that after the weight comes off I will find a way to deal with its aftermath. Believe me, I'm scared too. I 'm not sure how my arms and legs will look after weight loss, but I'm almost positive that my stomach hasn't a chance -its already pretty bad and I haven't even been banded yet.
  7. I have bookmarked this page because, well quite frankly, it is AWESOME! Similarities are purely coincidental... Lol.
  8. Fortunately I was already "warned" about this from a banded friend. She said not to be discouraged if I haven't any weight loss until after my 1st fill. p.s. She was banded over a year ago (iis at goal) and looks and feels great.
  9. Best of luck!! I get banded the end of this month and I certainly hope I feel as you do 24 hours later.
  10. Don't forget me... I was rescheduled to the 31st. I havent much to say yet, but believe me, I'm wishing all my August "siblings" the very best. Here's to uneventful surgeries, speedy recoveries, and of course, desired weight loss!
  11. Wow, is right!! You are an inspiration. I cannot wait to look at a pic of me and actually feel good about my body. Great job!
  12. My surgery date has been pushed back... now I'm "tentatively" scheduled for Aug. 31
  13. Oh and of course honey is high in calories
  14. I also tried it in applesauce and thought I would throw up! In fact just thinking about it again makes me queasy. Today I mixed the powder with a tablespoon of honey and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't perfect but sooo much better than applesauce. The only thing I don't know (because I haven't been banded yet) is whether or not honey can be easily swallowed after banding.
  15. And... I would like to know how to (automatically?) add my ticker. It looks like it should be some sort of signature tool, but I have no idea what I'm doing. Sorry pjsurratt, but your "Forum How To" caught my eye so I figured you might want to know how to do this too. Ha. (Obviously, I'm new to navigating on this forum as well.)
  16. August 24th is what I'm shooting for!
  17. I'll be following your responses! I'm supposed to practice this before my surgery... and I'm consistently failing!! Can't wait to read some good advice on this topic.
  18. I'm hoping to join your post-op club on the 24th of August! Woo hoo. ... I've been a Lap Band Forum junkie for quite awhile now.
  19. We look forward to hearing all about it! Good luck!!
