  1. I hope on Monday's weigh-in the scale reflects how much thinner I feel. :)

  2. Yowza! Crazy day of eating. It's almost scary to me just how easy it is to slip up if I'm not fully focused. Sad really.

  3. I so desperately want to be reclassified "overweight" and leave the obesity category forever!! So close and yet so far... :/

  4. It's not about perfect. It's about effort. And when you bring that effort every single day, that's when transformation happens. Or, so I'm hoping!!! :/

Couldn't have had a better check up today!

First of all, congratulations on your weight loss success, your newfound healthy, and your winning mindset!! I can relate to a lot of what you said, and I hope in the future I adopt your entire attitude about this journey. It has EVERYTHING to do with our health and being around for our loved ones. I LOVE fitting into to smaller clothing and looking better, but those are only the outward fringe benefits to becoming healthier... and ultimately happier. You've done it... you've wrapped your mind around this and succeeded!!! Best wishes now and forevermore.
  7. Most of my clothing is officially too baggy! Great news, but that also means that what I have left in my closet is either too big or seriously outdated! Now I need $$ for shopping. :0?

  8. Rosie the Riveter believes in us!! :)

People are always in your corner!!!

The other half, is, of course, hard work and mild complaining. haha!

People are always in your corner!!!

Great job... keep your focus and gratitude. Sometimes I wonder if having a positive attitude isn't over half the battle. Keep the faith -this will work!
  11. Hi HD! I just wanted to tell you that I was looking through your gallery photos today... and first of all, I'm so glad you have them on here to share (heck, I'm glad you have as many "before" photos as you do... as you know, finding before pics of most of us is not easy. lol). More importantly, your success has been fabulous!! It's stories and photos like yours that make this site SO inspirational... and dreams more tangible. You look like you feel amazing!...

  12. Officially hit the 60 lb. loss mark!! Only about 40 lb to go. I'm so happy. This hasn't been easy, but being obese was/is even more difficult. :)

  13. This losing weight thing... is like a dream come true!! :)

    Profile Picture Finally

You look amazing. I know I'm kinda weird, but I can't wait for my hiding muscles to come popping through my fat layers. Lol! Awesome job. I sure hope I gain the confidence you have in relation to talking openly about your wls decision. I'm still at the "only telling who I must" stage. But imagine your decision is a lot more liberating.
  15. Great news! I can understand your hubby's concern. I would have been scared too! I'm so envious of you and your new hot bod (in a good way! Ha!) Welcome to your year... 2013!!
  16. I reached goal! Haha... not really. But, this morning I officially reached "a" goal.

  17. Seriously? One pound loss again this week. Over the course of three weeks I've lost 3 lbs?

    Breast lift / augmentation

I LOVE seeing pics! I find them so motivational!! You obviously look amazing, but even your "before" lift and augmentation photos gave me hope. Seriously... for losing the amount of weight you've lost I cannot believe how great your body looked! I know to some that may sound silly because obviously there was some excess skin, and clearly you were not happy with it yourself, but I will count my blessings if I end up looking as good as you did. I already have tummy sagging, upper thigh sagging, and, of course, "the girls" are not what they used to be. ha. But, in all seriousness, I am still almost 50 lbs. away from goal, and although I have been exercising like a beast I can totally see the future of my gravity-ridden body. It's so funny how this journey begins... and continues to expand. Maybe after a few years I can afford to have the body repairs you did too, but, girl, I think you looked great before and after. (200+ lbs. of weight loss is beyond comprehension for most!! Congratulations again and again!!)

This is a GREAT post for newbies! Thanks
  20. How is your banded life going? I reread your letter "to yourself" again tonight, as i have done before... i love it. Anyway, it got me thinking and wondering about you and how you're doing, too! Best wishes!

  21. Woo boy! Rough time of it lately. I'm having issues keeping certain foods down. This afternoon has been rough. The worst part is I'm still hungry! :(

  22. So far cooked carrots and clementines are off my "nice" list. :(

Either paranoid or something isn?t right

Great post! And, yes, I'm also pleased that everything turned out okay. Thank you for the reminder.
  24. In two weeks, 2 lbs. down... can't say I'm thrilled with these numbers, but a loss is still a loss. Right?! :\

  25. Beware the perfectionism trap. Aim to eat sensibly and healthily most of the time, not all the time.
