    starting weight 336 and 62 BMI skirt is 5x 1 year post op June 3, 2013 and 118 pounds lost blue pants are size 16

    A quick question re: body jewelry

    hey there yes, for the surgery, all body piercings had to be removed..however at your local piercing parlor, they sell plastic (stems) to put in that will keep the hole open...however, i think if you remove it for a day, it should be okay.. i used the stems on all my piercings to keep open..

    Too much exercise + not enough calories = weight gain :(

    its true at least it is for me.. if i take in more calories than i burn off (ate or drank 3500 calories is a pound whether is lean Protein, a Protein shake, french fries, or apples) then we will not lose and can gain..this is how i got super morbid obese...def measure your loss by clothes..if you are losing inches, you are losing actual weight..DEF feed your body with food/good calories vs empty calories...

    well i wore this as a obese person and i wear it now only i now wear it with confidence... tight blue jeans black v neck sweater and 6 inch high heels.... its not what we wear but how we wear it... head up, shoulders up and work it GIRL... my hub said when i walk with some attitude, i am sexy and you know what...he is right..i am sexy we all are♥

    What Are Your Thanksgiving Plans?

    i will do what i do now eat a bit of this and a bit of that (bring on stuffing/cranberry) and let my lapband control by quantity..its a sad time as my FIL is ill and so is my MIL and of course my son is in England with the USAF. I cant control that...but i can control what i eat.. and i will eat and enjoy and treat it like another day..

    **yesterday at work** i am pretty insecure but i do try hard to hide that..what is it called, thin skinned? i always think people are looking and laughing at me or that anyone with me is embarrassed due to my size and what i look like.. jenny, my co worker….we were talking last week about walking. my office building has a nice gym and i never go (are you nuts…..people may see me) she came over to me and said lets go walk..and so i got up…thinking i could say my knee is hurting (which it is..rain is coming btw) and i did not have my sneakers (i took off my wedges and went barefoot) and well ran all these excuses through my mind BUT said fuck it ….and went to the nice gym and got up on the treadmill (*it had a tv*)..never seen that before as nervous as i was, i tried not to let it show..i think she thinks i am more in control or self assured than i am…and trust me i am not..i am so scared of people judging me and lets face it, they do.. so there i was…up on the treadmill, walking and talking and thinking to myself..people may see me but maybe they will say if she can, so can i....

    there is this dude on BP forum (not even had surgery) and he is tossing out (negative) lap band statistics of failure and complications…..REALLY?? Let people do what they need to do to make themselves happy. Let them and their doctors advise them which is best (WLS wise). Mind your own business. YOU do what you need to do to make yourself healthy and let them do their thing. to me statistics are numbers and so is my pants size going down so my WLS works…is yours? that is what i want to say.....to those tossing out neg/untrue (or even if it is) sh**it...this is one reason i hate coming to this forum sometimes..when i login i want to see lap band people...those who had the surgery i had...i dont care what surgery one had or about to get. i dont care if the dr they have say mine sucks..its what i have..its what i have now and what i have to deal with...NOT YOU geesh ok, rant over

    How My Family Eats Dinner

    i eat when i watch TV to me (and this is my 3 cents and my opinion only) if i am standing or watching tv or swimming the river(or watching basketball on tv..just recently my hub fed me while i was up yelling at my tarheels as i was too obsessed with ESPN--true story)...it makes no never mind to the calories..it is true, you can eat more while grazing with the TV on but if we let the WLS work and us be mindful of what we (eat), i see nothing wrong with where you eat...(eating out in public, those places have big tv screens)..do what works for YOU
  23. what caused myself (and everyone else with a weight problem) i eat/drank more calories than i could burn off..I blame myself. it was me that overate and drank too much (beer). and now it's ME who is making that change with assistance from my chosen WLS

    New food choices

    hi Sandee did your doctor give you a (handout) of what you can eat during the stages of post op? if not, please call and ask them for one *you can eat just about anything, just make sure it is mushy as you are still healing but def get on the phone with your doctor for this info as your doctor has a specific so called eating plan for you*
