  1. what an active member and great supporter...wishing her family peace.
  2. glad to hear from you. that is great weight loss by the way...it doesn't seem that 60g of protein is too much...im to shoot for 60-80 a day! full liquid meals huh?!
  3. well stated and so true!
  4. see you soon! happy band day!
  5. those are some tough post op guidelines! you can do it though!
  6. i started week two yesterday! isn't it funny how it kicks your butt and you've already been running?
  7. Why is the sleeve now the gold standard?
  8. what a nice surprise!
  9. wonderful news! let us know what happened!
  10. i'll be getting my third fill thursday...i have had no complications since my injections...i get fills because i am hungry between meals, can eat way too much food, and have had some stalled weight loss...when i talked with the NP about fills she told me that these were signs that i needed a fill...don't be afraid to use your band as intended and talk with your health care professionals about your needs...if you don't need one super, but if and when you do, be informed about the process and maximize the use of your tool:)
  11. hang in there guys! you'll be eating before you know it! what are you required liquid and mushy times?i was on mushies at discharge and stayed on them until my two week post op appointment then was able to eat some solids...
  12. my hubby and i did this together and it has been the greatest thing:) good luck to you...
  13. i got liquid percocet! it was wonderful:)
  14. i was wondering the same. i asked my doc about it and he said that hair loss should not be an issue as long as i'm getting in enough protein. i have not experienced any more hair loss than i typically did before...which for me is a huge deal as i have been growing my locs since 2004! i can't be fat and hairless!!!
  15. thank you:) i am creeping there...i think i need another fill...gonna try to get another this week...

i have done this since i have been banded and it worked quite well. i just went back my preop diet for a week and lost 5 lbs...it seemed to be much harder than when i initially did it though...probably just a mind thing! you can do it!
  18. my doc had a strict 6 week rule...check and see what yours is willing to do...it seems they all have different protocols...
  19. Yes I have felt this way but I am much older and have only been banded for 2 months...what i do is kick up and change up the exercise. I have also resorted back to the preop diet or some version of it and even added calories some days just to change things up...I come on this site for support, remember my NSVs, and value my 31 lb loss that i know would not be possible without my band! Hang in there...there will be plenty more ups and downs! How long have you been banded?
  20. i have a girlfriend that was approved fairly easy for bypass with medicaid after she met all the insurance requirements...
  21. i have the 10cc and my husband has the 14cc...both by the same company...doc says it was due to the size of our stomachs...hubby's was larger...
  22. my np says the same! 24 hours liquids, 24 hour mushies...
