We are so on the same page. I was doing the same thing for awhile, but eventually, I had to let the biggest stuff go...I went from a 3X or 4X down to an 18 or a XL this year....I am not spending alot of money on new stuff yet, I still have a ways to go but I did buy some summer tops and found some smaller pants and capris I had stashed from my skinnier days...got a pedicure and a haircut, a new handbag...hey I'm a whole new ME!

Good job you are so close to Onderland! I lost 0 this week, and 1 last week. So I think I'm on my first stall Not too bad for 15 weeks out I guess. I ate a lot of junk last week, I was in Atlantic City for the Holiday. So I'm not sure if it's a real stall or just not losing because of the junk. I'm not worried though, I can tell I'm shrinking and today wore a blouse to work that I haven't been able to fit in years. It's a size 14/16 but it's a long tunic and it actually fits over my large hips now. Yay NSV!
That's cool about your co-worker. Only a few people know I went to MX to get sleeved. Still keeping the big secret from my Mom. At first I thought the surgery you were talking about was plication, but I'm not sure now. Hopefully you can convince him to get the real sleeve. I talked one of my friends out of the crapband, and now she's getting sleeved. I feel like a spokesmodel now LOL!
I'm still doing Zumba classes and my elliptical, but now my Mom has an XBOX Kinect and I so want one now. I played Zumba on it and it's great. Maybe I will get it when I hit the 50 lb mark which is 2 lbs away.

Well you know what my take on it is....There are two schools on the subjuect. If you make him love that part that is not affected by weight, than he wont want to move off it. He could just get that, and be every so happy, with out being alone, he will find it irrisistable, and so con develope into his, where he will keep taking it over ontill it is only found with him and then he will prosper and it will most likely form into a spring wedding! The other school of thought is, he might be a slippery fish, and could get scared off easy, no mater what bait you use....Jesus caught a bunch of easy fish, they just jumped into his net, why not let him?

One more thing, if it is true, like my brother always says,"Them skinny men love them fat women!" You might get a stout one when your skinny!

I'll be sleeved in April, but am on a 1200 calorie restricted diet and when I look at the times when I definately plateaued or gained it was usually from snacking as you've described. A little nacho dip and a few tortilla chips, a little bit of a high calorie dessert like cheesecake. A couple potato chips with real sour cream dip, a tortilla with butter. Not much, but these items were dense and high in calories or fat or starch, enough to stall my weight loss.
This journey I'm on now is about losing the excess weight and when I am on track, logging in my food and staying in my calorie range, with planned goodies so that I don't feel deprived, I continue to lose consistently.
It just brings it home...the statement that the sleeve is just a tool in this journey of ours to lose weight. The proof is in the puddin !!
    Thanks for your post!!

Believe me Teatime, it is a life long struggle! I too was on the road called "Eating Myself to Death". I love to cook and bake, and of course, I love to eat! That is how I got to where I was. I had my procedure almost 8 months ago, and the weight just seemed to melt away after my surgery. Now the weight loss is slowing down, and I am (trying) to come to terms with eating in a correct fashion. I still love to cook and bake, and it is SO hard not to EAT!
I fixed desssert last night (at my husbnad's requst) and ate it myself (he didn't even eat it after I fixed it for him!) and when I got on the scale this morning, I had gained 4, Yep that's right FOUR fricking pounds!!!!! I know that one desset didn't do that, it was a combination of the food choices I made yesterday. So today I have made a decision to get serious about my weight loss.
I HAD lost 100 pounds, now I am only down 96 pounds. The last 15 pounds have been SO slow. I have really struggled. And now I am gaining, so I HAVE to get serious! (I think my 100 pound weight loss lasted all of twenty minutes. I was lucky that I happened to get on the scale during one of those 20 minutes!!!)
I used to drink alcohol on a fairly regular basis. (I don't mean go out and get drunk drink, just a cocktail before dinner, or a glass of wine with or after diner.) But, I have found that alcohol doesn't sit that well with my sleeve. So I have pretty much given up on drinking. ~Good bye margarites that I love, ~ Goodbye chocolate martinis that I crave.~ Goodbye Peach Bellinis that were so much fun at Lunch occasionally!~~~ Goodbye.
And now I am saying goodbye to desserts that I love. Oh how I love to read those receipes for Red Velvet cupcakes with frosting an inch deep! How I love to read a new Beef Stroganoff recipe that is loaded with sour cream and calories. How I love to read (Oh Hell you get the idea!!!)
Instead, I am choosing to be healthy and fit! So, Excuse me, now I have to get up off my butt and go get busy, my treadmill is just around the corner!!!
By the way, Congrats on your weight loss, and thanks for letting me vent! Best of luck on your journey!!! I mean that, good luck. It is a journey, and it can be a life long struggle, But as my Dad used to say, nothing good comes easy!

My food and vitamins have been right on. I work toward getting 80g of protien a day. Sometimes I fall short of that but nothing less than 60g. I also take sublingual B12 4 times a week. Getting about 2000mg a week which I think is the recommended amount.
I think my problem is more mental than physical. I've been taking depression meds for about six years now and it seems to go in cycles, this is probably one of the lows that come around once in a while.
I'm gonna hit the treadmill tonight when I get home no matter how I feel and see if that can shake this funk. Thanks for the advice.
    Take care!
