  1. Hello everyone. I have been banded for 2 years now and I have hit a stand still and even started gaining weight back. I had the Fluid removed from my band because I was getting sick everyday... So If anyone could help me with what they eat on a daily basis that would be great. Im the type of person who needs to be told what to eat and I can do it... but when I try to do it myself, I always chose something that could be better. Please anyone who can let me know the good things they eat or even their daily full length eating plan would be great!
  2. Last night after laying down I began to get slight acid reflux (something I usually do not have) This morning I woke up with the reflux and now it has my band feeling tight and me not wanting to eat. I have been banded for a yr and 1/2. Anyone had this problem or know a solution?
  3. Ate fine last night and after a few hours of laying down, I began to get acid reflux. It continued when I woke up this morning and when I eat small bites of things it brings pressure to my bad so I dont want to eat anything. Anyone had this problem or have any ideas?
  4. Could you guys help with some good snacks that can go as one of the six meals a day. Im having a hard time thinking of the good things. Thanks!
  5. Count me in.... I'll go for 10lbs. 257 to 247
  6. Wanted to fill everyone in. Surgery on August 20th and as of today going to the doctor on January 6th, I am down 59 pounds. I have not gotten a fill in 2 months as well because my portions are low and dont really need it. My doctor also gave me the incredible news that if I lose 21 lbs, putting me at 230, by August of this year (which shouldnt be hard cause it is 6 months away) I will have lost 70% of my access weight!!
  7. Sorry havent been on in a while. School is killing me but life is great. Surgery was on 08/20 and am now down 45 pounds. Best feeling in the WORLD! Have a wonderful boyfriend now and I feel like so great. Everything is easier and I couldnt ask for me. Loving my lap band!
  8. Extremely excited. Tomorrow is my one month bandiversary and im almost down 40 lbs!
  9. Banded on August 20th and with doc. permission I am handling everything well.... Im starting to eat normal again... Is that ok?
  10. Well i only drink one cup of apple juice a day then the rest is water. As far as the ypgurt and pudding.. they have nothing in them
  11. I got banded on 8/20 and im having a hard time getting the shakes down. They make me feel like im going to throw up and i easily tolerated them before. I have eaten puddin and yogurt and that does not do this. Is it ok for me not to take them and just get protein from yogurt?
  12. Ok so... I had my surgery on Wed the 20th. Doctor says after 2-3 days you can introduce yougurt, pudding and fudgesicles into my diet. Today I have drank water and aple juice, had about 1/3 to 1/2 of chicken broth, a small yogurt and a fudgesicle. Does that seem like too much? I dont want to go wrong but I have been holding everything down. A girl that goes to same doctor as me was barely able to eat 1 whole yogurt in a days time. PLEASE HELP!! Dont want to stretch my pouch but i have eaten nothing wrong.
  13. Never noticed this before surgery but when im not breathing in, I can actually see my heart beat in my tummy area. Anyone else have this or is this normal? Thinking maybe because I still have gas.
  14. Not from AL either but dont get yourself tripped out. I just had suregery 4 days ago and i feel better every day. Its painful at first with the gas and incisions but its all worth it. Good luck1
  15. I was told in my sheet book that 2-3 days out of surgery i could begin to try applesauce, sugar free pudding and yougurt. Do you think mashed potatoes would fit in this category tooo. I mean puddin and mashed potatoes have about the same consistanxy
  16. I am 4 days post op and im not going to lie there is some pain. The gas is probably the most painful but being able to walk works it out. The only other pain i have is where the port is because it is still tight. Other than that im doing great. After surgery my doctor said my liver was big but i still got it done... might depend on surgeon.
  17. How long did the extreme soreness in your mid-section last after surgery? Thats the part thats killing me along with I think my gas is trapped in that area too. It never reached my shoulders. Also, my pantlett says that after 2-3 days after surgery to try pudding, yogurt and applesauce. Am I the only one getting into this quickly.
  18. Got banded today.. Feel ok but extremely sore in my mid area. No gas pain in shoulder so idk if that comes later.... IN BANDLAND!
  19. Im allowed to get into pudding, yogurt, fudgesicles 3-4 days after surgery. Do you think applesauce and mashed potatoes would fall into the category too. They are the same texture as pudding and yogurt and I know a friend who did this. Also when finally able to eat, what were some of the reg. foods that you first get into that are easy on the band? Thanks for the help!
  20. Thank You for all the Wishes. Very nervous but excited. Just ready for it all to me over and for me to be home after a couple of hours!
  21. So tomorrow I m officially going into bandland. The nerves gain every minute. As of yesterday I was down 14 lbs. from last Wed. So happy with myself and didnt cheat once. I just hope everything goes well and that im feeling ok once i leave!! The journey begins...
  22. So my surgery is in 2 DAYS and my nerves are getting to me. I kep thinkin positive but the negatives always kick in sometimes. Like today looking on the site and seeing someone write "Dying on the Table" does not help. Anyways... I just want everything to go smoothly and me wake up from anthesia with no problems. That is my biggest fear is waking up for sure because never been under before... Need some advice/encouragment
  23. 3 days into Pre-Op and was just dying to see if my weight loss was working yet plus my exercising on an already exhausted body. Well I have lost 8 pounds in three days... this makes all the miserable stuff im going through so much easier. I have the biggest smile knowing I could lose 15 lbs possibly before walking into surgery!!!
  24. I feel your pain also. I am on day 3 of my week of pre-op diet but I can only have certain liquids, all of which ive become sick of already. I am starving and weak but I keep thinking what this will be in the end, something I have dreamt of all my life to be smaller. This is a HUGE step for the future probably one of the hardest parts. Hold your head high, you can do it!
