I just don't want blew a shot in saving $12,750 on the surgery and on the other hand I am trilled that the weight is coming off.

Hello bandsters! I am not banded yet, but hopping it will happened in May. Had my 1st surgeon app on January30 and my BMI at that point was 34.2. Doc told me I will be self pay, but all pre-op testing and consult will be covered by my insurance.He also wants me to do a 6 month of weigh-in internist clearance. At first I got upset, thought if self pay no waiting period. But he told it is his rule and 6 month do not have to start with a surgeon visit. Went to my regular doctor and found out I SAW him in Now and Dec and he did weight me (he don't do it every appoitment)And even better news in November my Bmi was 35. Now I have a slight chance for my ins covering the surgery. Finally to my question, sense I saw the surgeon in January i decided to give a try high protein diet and lost 6 lbs in 17 days(bmi 33)should i continue? At what bmi insurance company look starting or at a time when you submit a claim?

I tried Herbalife back back 2002 and it work while I was taking it. But it is expansive, like $220 for a month just for the pills and Califdreamer you are right the smell of their products is terrible. In time I got used to it, but my hubby was complaining, i tried brushing my teeth using mouth wash nothing helped.

I tried it. No sleep, my BP went up,felt jittery,and when i stopped weight came back

Do you guys, who self pay for the surgery pay for the fills out of the pocket or insurance covers it?

i was told today it should be 6 consecutive month or 2 periods of 3 month each in a year(like January, February,March and may june july)

I know it will worth every penny, but try to explain it too my husband!ii tied to reason with him, but no luck. He says you lost weight before you could do it again on your own(in 2008 i lost on a low carb diet over 60 lbs in 5 month, i kept the weigh off for about 4 month , got pregnant and now 20 month later I'm again 193 lbs. $12750 it is just hospital and surgeon fee almost all the test are on the insurance. MY doctor will try to file for the insurance but I'm sure they will deny, my BMI is 32. I do not want to lie to my hubby , but thinking maybe i tell him insurance is paying for have of the surgery and secretly charge the other have to my mom credit card and pay it off
