  3. I feel your pain, I'm learning patience, good luck with your future fills.
  4. I feel you, I just got my band in December and I've been the same weight since my first post op visit. I had my first fill last month and really didn't have any restrictions. I pray that you'll get the results you want soon and be encouraged everyone is different and we'll all get to where we need to be in time. God bless.
  5. I was banded on 12/20/11, I went to surgery at 255, I was 243 at my first post op visit in January. I was 243 at my February visit and got my first fill at 4cc's and I just weighed myself and I'm still 243. My restrictions are gradual, I go for my next fill on Thursday 3/8/12. I know I need one because I eat more than I should. My only issues are bread and red meat. I hope this fill will restrict me a little more. I know a lot of people lose their appetite after the surgery but I didn't. After healing I ate the same as before the surgery. I ate a little less than that after my first fill but I still have a great appetite. So I guess after a few more fills my intake of food will decrease and I'm cool with that. I didn't get fat overnight and I'm not going to lose overnight. I have lost more inches than weight and that's a great thing. God bless you all.
  6. Hey guys, It's been 2 week since I tried the cocktail. I'm doing well, on Friday I was scared because I start feeling a twitch of pain but after I took the Naproxen it went away. I still don't know what the issue was but I get my first fill next week and will find out why was I going through that pain.
  7. Msfotobug, I can ask, he spoke to the nurse and she sent in the prescription. I will send an email to the dr's office and ask and will advise when I get the information.
  8. If you never had a problem with taking pills before surgery, you probably will still be able to take meds. I have no issues with taking my meds and vitamins.
  9. Thanks everybody, I spoke to my dr on Wednesday and was given a cocktail of vicodin, naproxen and valium and I am happy to say that I have no pains today. I have to take the cocktail for a few more days and hopefully the pain will be gone forever.
  10. I've been banded 3 weeks today, the pain I feel in my shoulder is so hard. The pain starts in my shoulder and then it either moves up to my jaw or down to my arm. I take vicodin but it doesn't stop the pain entirely. I don't regret the surgery because I've lost good amount of weight but this pain in my shoulder is killing me. I keep hearing that it's gas, I try to burp to get rid of it and I exercise. Please can anyone help me with getting rid of this pain, I go back to work next week...........help!!!!!!!!

  12. I was banded on 12/20 and I have pain on my left shoulder, my chest is tight at times and my arms get sore? What's up with that?
  13. I had the band on 12/20 and have been irregular, I went to my post op on 1/4 and was advised to take 2 Senokot tablets daily until regular again. Also keep a bottle of Milk of Magnesia. Good luck
  14. I went to my post op visit today and was told to take senokot until I'm regular. I lost 13lbs since surgery on 12/20 and total of 25 pre and post op. GasX strips were also good too for the gas. The diarrhea stopped because of the pepto. I hope this helped
  15. I went to my first dr's appt and I lost 13 lbs, so cool
  16. Hello all, I was banded on 12/20/11, I lost 12 lbs pre surgery. The process was very easy, I see my surgeon today to see how much I have lost. My issues are pain in my left shoulder, soreness around the port and irregularity. I will speak to my dr concerning these issues. I've been eating mushy foods since week 2 and it was a relief, I was so tired of Soup. I have to learn not to try to consume too much, I did one time and I had pain in my shoulder and chest pains. Good luck to everyone and God bless
  17. I'm 2 weeks out of surgery but I'm not ready to go back. My doctor said 3 to 4 weeks after surgery. Good luck with everything

  19. Hi, make sure you get your clearance letters from the different specialists before you leave your appt. I had completed all my appointments and I had to call 2 doctors for them to send my doctor the clearances. I found out afterwards that you can request them. Good luck with everything
