  1. Awesome you are so close to onderland!!!! I lost 4.0 lbs this week making my total 44.8 lbs. I had my first Zumba class Monday at the new center and absolutely loved it! This is the third instructor I've had and she was the real deal! I can't wait to go back tonight. I wore my black pencil skirt to work yesterday and I was literally swimming in it. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle the clothes thing. I don't want to invest a lot of money until I'm at goal. For my casual clothes I have been shopping at the cheap stores and buying maxi dresses. I think this weekend I will take my "during" pics and compare them to my before pics. I haven't been measuring so I will be using the pics instead. Keep up the good work!

  2. Oh wow I had no idea she lost 55 lbs! I feel like I'm a slow loser as well, but I'll take a slow loss over no loss. I had my visit with my PCP this morning. I thought he was going to freak out that I went to Mexico but he told me he had a patient that went to Mexico for the band years ago. Of course she had complications and the insurance would not pick it up. I'm thankful we haven't had any. He ordered the bariatric blood workup for me and wants to see me back in 4 month. My cholesterol is still high, but I know it's because of genetics. My BP is low, but he said not low enough for a concern and to just eat salt. I do feel normal and I'm living a normal life. Sometimes I miss food, well I guess the amounts, but I'm happy with my loss. I'm down 1.8 this week for 40.8 total I'm still wearing the same size, eventhough it's very loose. My elliptical was delivered last Friday and I've worked out on it twice and am going to Zumba class tonight.

  3. Hey sleeve sis! I look forward to your blogs every Wednesday. I'm down 4 lbs this week (technically 3 with the gain last week). 39 total. I did the Komen race for the cure Saturday so I think that was all the cardio I got in and once on the Wii. My eating was so-so last week and I did eat a hot-n-now donut from Krispy Kreme. It was soooo good. I'm trying to just save my sweet treats for the weekend and be good during the week. This week I got tired of protein shakes in the morning, so this week I'm doing Chobani with granola, and the granola is actually keeping me regular, so I think I will stick to it.

  4. Good job! I lost 4.2 this week. I think because I started back having a protien shake in the mornings. I only got in 2 workouts last week, but my brother got married Sunday and I danced the night away, so I'm contributing my loss to that. I, like you, also do not count calories. That is not a way of life. I eat what I want in small portions. I was away the whole weekend and I think I did pretty good considering the fact I ate nothing home cooked. The hotel had breakfast and I had sausage and a french toast stick, or greek yogurt and strawberries. I had half a piece of cake and half a kiddie portion of frozen custard this weekend. I feel really good and I got a lot of compliments about my weight loss. I ordered an elliptical machine yesterday, I have always wanted one. I can't wait to start! Keep up the good work sleeve sis :)

  5. Well today was my weigh-in. I'm down 4.4 additional pounds. So I'm not too thrilled about that but I have lost a lot of inches. I don't measure, but I can just tell by looking at my body and how my clothes are fitting. I'm probably on a stall too while my body catches up to the weight loss. I'm ready to start working out now, my energy level is good. Keep up the good work!

  6. Hey sleeve sis, I missed reading your blogs. I missed 2 weighins so I can't wait until tomorrow :) Let's see, while I was away, I brought protein shakes home but was soooo sick of them. I moved to creamy soups and blended food about 4 days early. I pushed the limit with "soft" foods and ate 3 bites of lasagna and threw it up out my mouth and nose. Yuck! And I tried Mexican food and it literally went straight through me. So I've been eating all safe foods since, just plain meats, cheeses, yogurts, soups. I did have slivers of cakes and half cupcakes while I was home, and didn't get sick. My mom noticed the two weeks while I was home that I'm slimming down. Yesterday was my first day back at work and my size 20 slacks were falling off me! I haven't exercised yet, but plan to get back on my Biggest Loser for the Wii next week. I still can't believe how full I get off of such small portions. I love it!

  7. Hey so I don't feel as bad advancing to the mushy stage either. I am home in NC for a week, I brought my Nectar protein and have been drinking milk for breakfast, but yesterday I couldn't take anymore! I got some baked potato soup from panera and blended it in my mom's magic bullet. It was soooo good and I can tell I instantly had an increase in energy from the carbs. I had been feeling lethargic. I also too read other peoples' diets and they had mushies early on, so I didn't feel so bad trying it. I admit I did eat it a little too fast because I got that tightness in my chest for about a minute. I'm skipping my weigh-in this week as well since I'm home. I asked my friend would it be too OCD of me to bring my scale with me and she said yes :(

Thanks for the update! Glad you enjoyed DC!

  8. Thanks for the updates. Yeah I learned myself that the bandages aren't supposed to be pulled off OOPS!. I bought some surgical tape yesterday and attempted to clean off the "goo" and was going to replace the bandages, then I was like ummm this doesn't feel right. I tried using alcohol to get the goo off, it didn't really work. Today I almost scrubbed my skin off in the shower and most of it came off. Yesterday I met my friend at Panera and went to the mall. I feel regular and normal. I took today off because I thought I would need a week off, so I'm enjoying lounging around at home. It's weird, I'm having bowel movements, they are liquid but it's weird because I'm not eating anything. And also my whole digestive system is just very noisy. I'm doing well with water, Gatorade, and popsicles. I could actually do without the broth. I already decorated my April calendar with the days we can start protein shakes, and skim milk, then mushy foods. I've been good and not stepped on the scale. I'm going to commit to only weekly weigh-ins (on Wednesdays). Have you tried PowerAid? You might like it better, it tastes better to me but the Gatorade isn't bad so I'm sticking to it. I hope you have a safe journey home!
