    Band or no band, you have to put in some type of work on your own. You have to change your eating habits and you have to do some kind of exercise. If you are not willing to put forth any effort or make positive changes in your life you will never lose weight , whether your banded or not. I too went through the same thing, until I decided to change my life around for the better. Please do not give up. You can do it!

  3. I live in SE Houston. My surgery was performed by Dr. Hollis in December at Southeast Memorial. I would also love to be apart of a support group!!!!!
  4. I also questioned the surgery in the beginning as I was healing. It has now been 5 months since surgery and I now know this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I am 60 pounds down and halfway to goal!!!! Hang in there it gets sooooo much better! You have all of us to support you!!

  7. I was banded Dec. 27th 2011. I've lost 50 lbs. I probably could have lost a lot more, but I have not been following the rules like I should. I want to lose 65 more lbs. You are doing a great job!!! Keep losing!!!!

  13. The Premier chocolate tastes great! I haven't found another shake that I like any better.
  14. Rhya2k 14 lbs in seven weeks is good. Please don't let people discourage you. My dr. recommends 3-6 lbs per month. So keep up the good work!!!
  15. Walking is also recommended to prevent blood clots.
  16. My doctor told me no abs for two months after surgery. Light cardio is ok one month after. I know each doctor has their own requirements. To play it safe call your doctor. I don't want you to hurt yourself or hinder your recovery!

  18. My mom had similar symptoms "throwing up a coffee grind like substance". It turned out that she had an upper GI bleed. Very dangerous. I am very concerned about you. Please go see your doctor immediately.
