I'm on my last week of liquid diets... Then I move on to soft foods!! Please tell me this whole surgery thing gets better.... Because it sucks so far =/
I was sleeved on the 15th & came home yesterday!
I am feeling horrible because... I have endometriosis & since I couldn't take my pills..
I got my period... With horrible cramps!!! After not having my period for 3 years! Everyone
Knows endometriosis is worse than having a regular period =/
I'm feeling fine surgery wise tho!! I lost 13 pounds so far!!!!
I'm confused on how often to drink & how much to drink help?
As you know for 3 weeks after surgery I have to do a post liquid diet.... I went to go buy some things today... can people name some liquids I should buy?
Then I have to do the puree and mushy foods... can you name some foods for that?
Just wanting ideas and to see if I forgot to buy anything... thank you!
1. My surgery is 16 days away!! (Jan 15) I'm so excited!! I can't wait!!!
2. I don't have to do a liquid diet... My doctor doesn't require it. I came up with a decision that I'm doing it anyways. I feel like with liquids in your bodily a couple days to a week before is safer.
3. Only a few people in my family know about my surgery... I need more support.. So please add me as a friend.. I want to hear all about your journeys! I need more support from everyone.
So guess what guys? I got the date to my surgery!!!!!
JANUARY 15TH! IM SUPER EXCITED!
but i have a very important question.....
the receptionist at my doctors told me i dont have to do a 2 week pre-liquid diet before surgery and i dont understand that when everyone else i know had to? Do you think i should contact the doctor again to make sure?
Have any of you never had to do a pre liquid diet?
How long did it take everyone to get approved for surgery by their insurance?
Just wondering... Its been about over a week and I'm so freaking anxious lol
On November 16th it's my last dietitian visit.
Last week I went to the heart doctor.. he said everything looks great.
Today I went to the lung doctor he told me my lungs are perfect but he wants me to do this machine over night (at home) to monitor how I sleep. GREAT
I gained about over 20 pounds since I started this journey and feel really down about it.
I should be getting surgery Dec/Jan. & I'm VERY excited!
I ran into a lot of trouble =/ .... As you know I started my whole program in Jan. 2012 then my third Dietitian appointment was in May ... A day before my 4th appointment the dietitian calls telling me my insurance is not going to pay her anymore!!! =O I was SOOO upset! So I called and went crazy on them letting them know they TOLD me It would ALL be covered!!!! I ended up getting a case worker and she set me up with a dietitian they pay for FINALLY!!!! I had my 4th dietitian appointment today!!!
I'm SO excited for surgery & should be having it .... maybe November? December?
QUESTION!!! : After you send your paperwork into the insurance company... how long will it take them to approve it????
I'd like to hear other peoples storiesss. Talk to meeee =]
I need more supporters!!
Hey everyone (:
My name is Tiffany and I am new to this site. I recently signed up for lapbandtalk.com. Today I went to my seminar and they mentioned the lapband, bypass, and the sleeve. I had my mind set that I wanted the lapband but now that I found out about the sleeve I'm interested. I wanted to write this post to hear about your journeys. Please let me know your journey whether you've got the sleeve or didn't. I would also love to hear more information about the sleeve, so tell me anything you know lol I look forward to reading them. Thank You (:
Anyone with Aetna Insurance? ; I want to get the lap band done ASAP. I was just wondering, How long does it take for you to get it done? For example: If I have my first appointment on Jan. 9th will I be able to get it done 3 months after or 6? I understand I have to meet the requirements (which I know I already do). Answers please? =(
Hello Everyone, how are you? My name is Tiffany & I am new to this site, I literally just made it lol. I wanted to make it to get support from others besides my friends and family(: When I was 17, i started going to an Endocrinologist as a type 2 diabetes patient. They had talked to me about getting the lap-band surgery because my BMI is higher then 40. I started doing some research and really getting interested in the surgery. I have Aetna Insurance so they told me it will take 6 months along with all the other requirements to get this surgery done. So I started going through the process and stuff. But I felt that the doctor wasn't so good and I am now 19 and still no surgery??? So on January 9th I have an appointment with a doctor closer to me.. I really can not wait to get the surgery!!!! I've been eating healthy and exercising , but I just want the surgery quick so I won't be stuck with diabetes forever!! I heard that with Aetna you can get the surgery after 3 months and after they approve it... does anyone know it this is true? I'd like to hear from a lot of you to hear about your journey (:
