  1. I will definitely try the Nexium and see if it helps with the hunger. I will report results back
  2. Hi Lissa, I thought the Nexium was for heartburn and acid re flux? He did prescribe this to me but I never took it because I never needed it. Luckily out of all the foods I've tried there hasn't been anything that hasn't agreed with me. When I think about it I'm assuming the doctor thinks I'm taking the Nexium which is probably why he gave me an appetite suppressor? As for working out I go to the gym an hour and half each day five times a week. All cardio right now, moving on the weights next month.
  3. So yesterday I had my two month (second) post op appointment. Total number lost from 1/28 to 3/08 was 18 pounds. Getting a bit worried, I feel like I can eat a lot more than I should be able to and I'm always hungry. Doctor says this is normal and that weight loss will keep decreasing in numbers as I begin to add muscle and my body gets used to the sleeve. My clothes do feel baggier and my back hurts less but again I'm getting concerned. My doctor prescribed an appetite suppressant that I will begin taking to help with the constant hunger. Is anyone else on the same boat? If so please tell me it gets better

    Xbox Kinect Exercising

I'm one of those guys who can't dance and would only play these dance games in the middle of the dessert inside a tent but as I begin my workout routine this would be a good way to start cardio out. I wish there were "manly" kinect games were I could play and achieve the same thing
  9. 1 day shy from my 1 month sleevaversary actually but that's ok :smile1:. Got weighed yesterday at my doctor's visit and so far I'm down 37 pounds since surgery. Not too bad. I can already feel a huge difference. My back doesn't hurt as much as it used to and I can now walk a much longer distance without any knee or joint pain. Clothes are also very loose and I can fit into an old jacket I missed dearly!. Doctor gave the ok to start weight lifting so my next step is to come up with and establish a solid routine. I hope everything keeps going smoothly. Just wanted to share :smile1:
  10. Add me to the list of bad I'm almost two weeks post op and have had no trouble with any of the foods I eat. Trick is to chew extremely well and eat super slow.
  11. Personally for me the best tasting shake ( 45g per container ) is the lean body brand. Has no sugar, low carb, lots of protein. Their vanilla ice cream and rich chocolate flavors are very good. I've also tried the atkins and although they taste ok they don't offer the high volume of protein like lean body does. Chike also makes decent tasting products.
  12. I am doing way more bad than you are. I had my sleeve done on 12/28/2011 and I'm already eating soft foods. I saw my doctor today and told him this and he didn't seem too worried. Key is to make sure it can go down and stay down without any pain or issues and to not overeat in fear of the stomach tearing. With me liquids seem to go right through but mashed broccoli ( only non liquid I've tried ) fills me up super fast, one to two spoons full and I'm done. Also keeps me full for much longer.
  13. I'm currently 5 days post op and my doctor advised I take two weeks off. Work gave me the green light to take as much time as I need but I think I should be fine after a week. Definitely less painful than it was and once this drain gets removed I should be alright considering I sit at work.
  14. Thanks for the advice. I agree with walking more. It actually hurts less when I walk rather than sit. I still feel pain in my stomach. I can't tell if its from being full or from being hungry. Such a bizarre feeling.
