  1. I wouldn't mind being a 10/12 just as long as I'm healthy and able to have more children
  2. That is awesome!!! It's definitely great having family and friends to keep you company. I've been staying in a lot especially since I'm on my pre-op diet...I have some friends that want to go out to eat and dont understand that I can't and it's frustrating
  3. I have one bandedvtchick...I do have videos of myself on there and actually my surgeon recommends doing videos on there.
  4. I'm glad you're doing well
  5. I'm unemployed but I am taking 2 summer classes at a local college which 3 days after surgery I go back to class and each class is 3 1/2 hours long. I'm a stay at home mom to a 4 1/2 year old little girl and my husband is an over the road truck driver and we only see him 2-3 times a month so thankfully we live with my parents still lol. I do videos on YouTube (bandedvtchick is my screen name in there) but I know the feeling about having so much free time.
  6. Congrats last Tuesday I got approved and I cried also then today I started my 2 week pre-op diet. U have such a great attitude!!! I too have PCOS and suffer depression and anxiety which I've been having a lot of panic attacks lately I wish u the best of luck throughout your weight loss journey
  7. I started out with wanting the lap band but changed my mind May 31st because my surgeon was talking to me about it. Where I'm having my surgery, they haven't put a new band in in about 2 years. They have taken out almost the same amount of bands as they had put in. Plus other information that they told me.
  8. I have been documenting my weight loss journey on YouTube I go by bandedvtchick because I started my weight loss journey wanted the lap band but changed my mind May 31st to gastric bypass
  9. I got Friday August 3rd for my gastric bypass surgery and I was told to wait 18-24 months.
  10. Good luck and I hope u have a speedy recovery
  11. Exactly 2 weeks from today is my surgery I'm excited and nervous and anxious lol so today I start my pre-op diet. So for the next 2 weeks this is what my food for the whole day will look like: Breakfast: chobani Greek yogurt and 24 oz water Snack: protein shake Lunch: 3/4 cup fat free cottage cheese, 1/2 cup watermelon and 24oz water Snack: 2 sugar free Popsicles Dinner: 3oz tilapia, 1 cup broccoli (cooked) and 24oz water All of that is within my calorie, carb, protein and fluid guidelines lol to me it doesn't sound like a lot of food but after surgery I won't be eating much so my body has to get used to it some how lol do can anyone tell me how you deal with food cravings during this time and how to NOT give into ur food cravings?

  14. Good luck keep us updated
  15. I had to do a 6 months supervised nutritionist appointments and from the first time I got weighed until the last time I couldn't weigh more or it was an automatic denial. Some I get very anal about weight gain. They look at it as if u can lose or at least manage to stay at the same weight then u won't be a good candidate. It is hard. Just stay positive, up or protein and exercise and you'll be okay good luck
  16. Well I've been in the process of going for surgery for 10 months now and I will finally be having surgery Friday August 3rd and I start my 2 week pre-op diet tomorrow. What kept me going was my beautiful 4 1/2 year old daughter, 10 1/2 year old step daughter and my husband knowing that after surgery I'll be a healthier mother, step mother and wife has kept me going. There's always a possibility of ur insurance to deny u but just knowing that I tried ur best is all u can do. Took me 3 weeks to get approved by my insurance. I'm now just nervous about surgery lol Thats the part that I'm struggling with now
  17. Welcome to the group theres a lot of great people here and awesome Job on the weight loss so far
  18. My insurance made me do 6 months with a nutritionist and that helped big time. I eat 1/3 of what I used to before.
  19. I know how u feel...I'm supposed to start my pre-op diet tomorrow but I started it today and my husband isn't home since he's an over the road truck driver but we live with my parents and our daughter is 4 1/2 and eats anything and everything and she doesn't understand that mommy can't eat what she can lol she always shares food with me but now can't. Worst part is Tuesday is my husband's and my 2 year wedding anniversary and we can't go out to eat I'm allowed to eat food just no more then 600-800 calories.
  20. Congrats!!! I have my surgery August 3rd I hope u find out just as fast when ur actual surgery date is
